  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Sabbath and the Investigative Judgement.

As stated before (and ignored repeatedly in your posts) "judgment passed in favor of the saints" Dan 7:21-22 most certainly requires Saints to be included in the judgment passed in their favor just as we see proven beyond all doubt in Rom 2:4-16. This irrefutable detail works against your...

Adventists view of the Old Covenant and the New Covenant

to which you responded We "noticed" that when you complain about "memorialist language' you did not quote the memorial language of 1 Cor 11 or Christ's own statement in John 6 that eating literal flesh was pointless when it comes to solving the problem of sin. So... I refer you back to those...

Adventists view of the Old Covenant and the New Covenant

The Spirit gives life, eating flesh does not bring eternal life. And so I respond with the very "memorialist" language in scripture that sustains my case and exposes a flaw in your speculation above about that memorial language being 'mine" 1 Cor 11; 23 For I received from the Lord that which...

This thread is not about debating your view of Eucharist Nonsense. We all believe in the "real presence" of Christ as we see in Matt 18:20 20 For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”

Adventists view of the Old Covenant and the New Covenant

    1. John 6 is most certainly not a communion service 2. In John 6 Jesus did NOT say "some day in the future you will need to bite on me" He says they ALREADY need the WORD that is spirit and is life 3. Not even the faithful disciples bite Jesus in John 6 RATHER they say (as He said ) 'you have...

Adventists view of the Old Covenant and the New Covenant

That is the part where we agree. Agreed. We see its promise spelled out clearly in Jer 31:31-34 and in Heb 8. Very different from the "obey and live" covenant in Gen 2, under which, all mankind is condemned to the lake of fire without the gospel as Rom 3:19-21 states the term "New Covenant"...

Adventists view of the Old Covenant and the New Covenant

sounds like a metaphor and a metaphor. Jesus is not a corpse at the last supper pointing at his dead body and handing it out. Even Catholics admit that he was breaking bread and handing it out. Not knowing the difference between literal and metaphor got the disciples in hot water a few times...

    Sabbath and the Investigative Judgement.

Given that an all knowing God knew from eternity past all outcomes, and given that the myriads and myriads who are in the court room of Dan 7:9-10 are not God, are not omniscient and are following along as they read "out of the books that were opened", it is not that hard to see that such a Dan...

as we see in 2 Cor 5:10 and Rom 2;4-16 and Dan 7:21-22 that is true. Both saved and lost people in that Rom 2;4-16 group as the text says. Question for you: If you were introduced to the judgment and they said your 12 year old son has been declared to be "a sinner saved by Grace" .. And then...

The Nature of Christ-the Adventist view

God himself was Christ's Father. His human nature was unlike ours in that respect because each of us has sinful human as our real literal father. Through Mary Christ is of the seed of David, of Abraham of Noah. But His Father gave Him sinless untainted human nature guilty of nothing , a desire...

The Nature of Christ-the Adventist view

"Christ is called the second Adam. In purity and holiness, connected with God and beloved by god. He began where the first Adam began. Willingly he passed over the ground where Adam fell, and redeemed Adam's failure." Youth's Instructor June 2 1898 (7a BC 446) We "need to guard strenuously...

I would say it is the Dan 7 preAdvent judgment is same one as we see in Rom 2:4-16 and 2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. The Rev 20:4...

    Sabbath and the Investigative Judgement.

Judgement cannot be passed in favor of someone who is not being judged. You are using the "judged" in the limited context of "condemned". But the judgment in Dan 7 , (just as we see in Rom 2;4-16) is the full scope of the term "Judged/judgment" where as we see in Romans 2, some are approved...
