  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Lord's Rest Is Not A Day Of The Weak, It Is A State Of Being Perpetually In Christ

Wow, you opened a can of worms. Did the priests keep the sabbath rest and yet "work" harder on the sabbath?

    Critical Elements

You might want to look at my post 13. "To know God" needs further explaining, especially since there are two Greek words for our "know", one being more like book knowledge and the other being experiencing.

    Critical Elements

I like the conclusion: "because God could", but that does not tell us, "why did He want to?" Would God's Love not compel God to make humans, "because He could", for the sack of those individuals who would humbly accept His Love, even at the cost of those who will reject His Love? I do not see...

    The Process Of Regeneration

It is up to us to not quench the Spirit and thus go about doing our selfish desires. Love grows with use, but unused it can wither away with time.

Advantages of the Modern Critical Text of New Testament.

I do not support the KJV, but also think a group of all old white guys limit the interpretation.

Older does not mean better. We may have it in good condition because it was not being used.

If God feels far away does that mean im no longer saved

The Spirit does not like to just layback and set around doing nothing. You are in control of what you do and the Spirit Loves to partner with you in doing "Good Works", but He does not force you to do good works. Start doing some good stuff not because you feel you must, but simple out of your...

The silent faith crisis no one in the Church is talking about

Maybe missionaries from China, Iran, North Korea, and Africa will make their way West. It starts with the leadership going out one-on-one and doing what they are asking the members to do.

Your faith does not save you, Jesus does

All mature adults have a God given ability to trust in things and people (including once self). Adults can direct their God given "general faith" toward stone objects they trust to be a god, but they can turn and trust in a benevolent Creator's Love and acceptance of God's Love in the form of...
