  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

WHY WATER BAPTISIM HAD TO GO AWAY ??

I do not feel you have to take the Lord’s Supper every Sunday, but if you are among a group of Christians and you are asked to join them in partaking of the Lord’s Supper can you without any excuse refuse and be pleasing to God? The Lord’s Supper is a act of worship, but it is to help us and...

WHY WATER BAPTISIM HAD TO GO AWAY ??

Water Baptism is something you get to do, and not something you have to do to be saved. It has helped me and others, so are we sinning?

WHY WATER BAPTISIM HAD TO GO AWAY ??

The Bible talks about Christians baptizing others, but you are saying that is spirit baptism, so how do you spirit baptize someone?

WHY WATER BAPTISIM HAD TO GO AWAY ??

I am in full agreement with the doctrine of the Jewish Christians (including Peter) for at least a while in the first century wanting the Gentiles to at least follow the “Old Law” of circumcision, food requirements and keeping some days as Sabbath days. Paul never seemed to follow this, but...

John 15:6 if we don't abide in Jesus we will be cut off

I would say, asking the nonbeliever to have a faith in Jesus for eternal life is asking too much. The person in pain because of the bad they have done to others might be willing to humbly accept relieve of that pain from their hated enemy, so they just need to surrender to their enemy in hopes...

John 15:6 if we don't abide in Jesus we will be cut off

Nonbelieving sinner does not have Godly type Love to go to Deity. Eternal life is one of the wonderful gifts God showers on those who just humbly accept His Love (in the form of forgiveness). Accepting God's forgiveness of an unbelievable huge debt will automatically produce an unbelievable...

WHY WATER BAPTISIM HAD TO GO AWAY ??

You say water baptism was only for the Jews, yet we have Samaritans and gentiles water baptized in scripture, so we have examples of non-Jews being baptized. We are to baptize people and Christians in the Bible baptized Gentiles, so how do you “immerse” people into Christ? Can you find any...

WHY WATER BAPTISIM HAD TO GO AWAY ??

Jesus tells us why He was baptized: Matt. 3:15 Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented. John’s baptism was a righteous act, so Jesus could be a great example of doing a righteous act. Matt. 28: 19-20 applies to all...

John 15:6 if we don't abide in Jesus we will be cut off

Jesus was trying to communicate more about "believing in Him" than what she got. What does it mean to Love Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind and energy?

John 15:6 if we don't abide in Jesus we will be cut off

What does "hears" and "believe" fully mean in this verse, since demons believe a lot about Jesus.

Inside the Atonement: What Christ Actually Did on the Cross

Sacrifices are not referred to as ransom payments, can you find another time this happened in scripture? Atonement sacrifices are referred to as penalties (punishment/discipline) Lev. 5: 6 As a penalty for the sin they have committed, they must bring… What happens to that child within a...

John 15:6 if we don't abide in Jesus we will be cut off

Also someone being dead was brought up, but we really need to see how Christ talked about dead people: Part of the meaning to the concept of being given a gift is the fact that the ownership of the gift actually transfers to the receiver of the gift and as such the receiver of the gift can do...

    Are We Sinners or Overcomers?

read further in John. 1 John 2: 1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
