  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Testimony for prayer

The day is not coming, it has come, when gay people need to don sackcloth and ashes, not out of repentance but out of mourning. I was raised nothing and chose Catholicism before I hit puberty because I wanted the traditional and liturgical worship of a loving God. Then puberty hit and I realized...

"It's time we took the Bible back," said Bishop Robinson...

Im thinking of converting to Anglicanism after years of self-hatred in the RCC and if the ECUSA abandons it's current path then I truly will be despondent along with, I'm sure, many others who are searching for an accepting congregation. It's almost like all Christian denominations are reverting...

Govt. funds gay conference on eve of papal visit

A government funding a gay convention that happens to coincide with a papal visit doesn't denote a purposeful attack on the church. And I know that everyone will disagree with that statement and I'll get a bunch of replies of refutation so I really don't even know why I typed it.

    Sincerity...

She didn't like it sadly :( However it was a very VERY small and sorta inactive parish. I live near a pretty big city and my mother agreed to go to the Episcopal Cathedral with me next Sunday where it will be a much better service I am sure. I am still on the path and heavily (now more than...

    Found something out!

I just found out something really cool. Right down by my house is an Antiochian Orthodox mission. I went to their website and found out they are oriental orthodox! I'm so excited. I'm planning on going in about two or three weeks and I can't wait. Pax Christi

    Question

In my Catholic parish my priest is extremely political, almost to the point of talking about nothing else in his homilies...especially about homosexuality. Now I fully understand the OC's beliefs regarding homosexuality but my question is...how often is it discussed in your particuliar...

    Gay Christians and Supporters

I was not raised in any church but my parents were nominally Christian. I got a huge interest in Catholicism at a very young age and studied it to great lengths. My parents were horrified and didn't allow me to even attend mass or own anything catholic-esque. After years (I mean YEARS) they...
