  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Is music amoral?

LMBO So what if I Pump Up the Jam and boogie around my house on some days. I'm not fornicating.!!! You can boogie to Christian music too. I think the words make or break the morality of a song. I think a person can expand if they feel the need and relate it to the artist as well. If the...

Why Do So Many Christian Approve Of The Music Of The Pagans?

Last time I checked, we are human. So, any music, other than classical and such, that doesn't profess the love of God is secular? Granted, I don't like the trashy stuff that demeans women, or condones murder or hate. But, aside from that side of music, there is A LOT of good music out there...

Norman, E1, I'm not confused anymore. LOL

 Hello Everyone. I've been sick with a wicked sinus infection so I haven't been keeping up. UPDATE:...I am going to a wonderful, yet small, Assembly of God Church. LOVE IT. Me and the Pastor click and he is so easy to talk to. The first day we visited, we left feeling like...

    I Saw The Light

??? Who's debating. You posted nothing I disagree with. If you read my post with understanding, then you read that I was going to start going to my Aunt's Pentacost Trinity Church. Last time I checked, it was very much Christian to question, and to ask. That doesn't mean one is starting...

    I Saw The Light

Norman, there isn't a thing I disagree with. You have to understand something. I'm not promoting anything, I'm not converting anybody. The Church I go to at the moment, I go because my family is there, I love the music, and it was what I was 'raised' around. You can tell me I don't...

    I Saw The Light

First of all, I SEE both sides. I can see trinity and I understand it fully. I can see oneness and understand it fully. Each side explains themselves and it makes perfect sense to me. Is it fals doctrine? Well, some would say Catholics follow false doctrine. Some would say any religioun...

    Pentecostals lack LOVE

I think it really depends on the Church. Some Churches, it's like a contest. One person stands, everyone looks at 'em and they have to stand. They start dancing, everyone has to start. Not that the spirit of the Lord isn't touching them, but when you are calmly watching these people look at...

LET YOUR HAIR DOWN!!!! Yee haa LOLOL

Thank you!!! Poet,. I totally understand where you are coming from. I wasn't upset, just caught off guard. lol I was afraid I might have offended you. I have a very open Church too, in that if you don't worship in that way, aren't in the mood, or caught up in the moment, you don't...

LET YOUR HAIR DOWN!!!! Yee haa LOLOL

Ok, I should have posted better. LOL The church I was saved in, was my Aunt's in another town. It is a small Church, and it seemed as if people got up to 'out do' each other of sorts. I'm not a big 'flip flopper' either. I don't run around or anything like that. The most that I have seen...

LET YOUR HAIR DOWN!!!! Yee haa LOLOL

Sigh. lol Ok. This is my situation. I received the glorious gift of the Holy Ghost and a healing a couple of Fridays ago. We have been Church hunting, and yesterday morning, I was sitting on a Baptist pew, and it just didn't feel right to me. And low and behold, the Pastor of that Church...

    Did you repent?

Yes, I repented, and I repent almost daily. I agree that repentence means change...and God is constantly changing me :) lol

You all have CONFUSED me! LOL

From what I understand (my brother in law is UP Oneness) the trinity differs from oneness this way: Trinitarians believe that Jesus is God, the Holy Spirit is God and the Father is God-while Oneness teaching is that God is Jesus, the Holy Spirit is Jesus and the Father is Jesus. Uh, my church...

You all have CONFUSED me! LOL

I just got out of the Oneness vs. Trinity thread and I have a huge headache. I am Oneness, in the sense that my "Church" is Oneness/Holiness. I am not going to take the "Oneness" emoticon yet, because I DO believe in the Trinity. Does this make sense? My Aunt and I were discussing this...

    I'm totally confused.

 I've been looking over threads, and the baptism ones are popular. I read through and everyone has a scripture proving their point. It just seems everyone interprets it differently. One thread I read, don't know if it was on this board, said that a certain scripture supports their...
