  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Jesus The King Matthew 5:18 Matthew 24:35

When He comes it will be the complete opposite to before, not poor in a manger but in all of God's majesty and glory where for us it will be bliss even if we can enter as the smallest in the Kingdom, but enter we must, with the wedding robes on, clothed in works fitting of our repentance.

Jesus The King Matthew 5:18 Matthew 24:35

It comes from the gospels, just a few sentences to bring glory to King. If we seek the glory of Jesus we seek the Father's own glory because all of Jesus is obedient and one with God and brings Him glory and even God is the One seeking glory for Jesus. So then if we don't seek our own glory but...

Jesus The King Matthew 5:18 Matthew 24:35

Jesus the King Matthew 5:18 Matthew 24:35 Who is coming? The King is coming, eternal God on the throne of David, who's kingdom has no end. Jesus the coming King, Jesus the King is coming. Call no man you Father, Call no one your Teacher, You have but One, the Son of man. If you've seen Him...

    The True Church

Maybe the issue isn't how we dress but runs much deeper, who do we follow? We have our own flavor of churches and doctrines but it can't be right for Jesus was never divided. The true church is not made by man's opinions and mix of interpreted scriptures but does what Jesus said and not what I...

Let's Meet, as in Mathew 18:20, Hebrews 10:25 but not a house church or cell.

Hi, thank you for posting. I took some time to read and so far made it up until 1 John 4. What I can say is wow, I've read through these in the past but they have never gone so well:). Yes there is the element of human interpretation and opinion but similarly you find in the gospels plain traces...

Let's Meet, as in Mathew 18:20, Hebrews 10:25 but not a house church or cell.

Sounds like in faith we have lots in common, I too was loving God at a very young age but I grew cold and church couldn't get me warm again. I went through rough teens but God brought me back again when I was 21 outside of church. Currently reading only the gospels has really been good for me...

Let's Meet, as in Mathew 18:20, Hebrews 10:25 but not a house church or cell.

Yea, I'm kind of white too, my five year old would say she is peach colored and also have friends who are brown and one that is half brown so that is no issue. I too play guitar but nothing worthy of a band, I write the occasional song which reflect my faith. I teach math and science for a...

Let's Meet, as in Mathew 18:20, Hebrews 10:25 but not a house church or cell.

Is anybody interested in joining me by meeting with their fellow Christians outside of any formality, numbering 2,3 or more in the name of Jesus, without any agenda accept for loving and encouraging each other, no programs or pressure. I have had 3 such meetings in the last bit of more than a...

Church that follows the teachings of Jesus

I am totally convinced that if Jesus had to point out His church He would say it is those who keep His commands.( John 14:23 , John 7:17 and Matthew 12:50 ). Jesus started His church as in Matthew 18:20, not our churches. Paul wrote about the divisions in 1 Corinthians 1:10 yet we are under the...

    Confused Young Man

Ok, it's a huge task though. If you are the academic type then you would probably have already read it cover to cover in your life and have some idea of the content and cost involved. I pray that you find God's will for your life.

    Confused Young Man

I'd recommend you first read through the Gospels, perhaps an easy version like the Esv. Following Jesus should somehow precede choosing a church or should at least be kind of the same thing. Don't just do religion, find the truth, it might even take all of your life but anything else will just...
