  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    TE has nonexistent theology (?)

it doesn't matter what the point is and/or how trees are constructed. the argument is that the names within the (unspecified) tree from an (unspecified) era will have names that exist within the tree that are real people - after all, if the tree is a real tree, and the final Generation X exists...

    TE has nonexistent theology (?)

your argument is lost within your obfuscation. what exactly are you saying? EG: are you saying that Adam is not a real person like you and me? (to be as clear as crystal: my Q is a "Yes" or "No" answer.)

    The Gospel and Theistic Evolution

Ge. 9:2 The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. Ge. 9:3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I...

    Where are the YECs?

I TOTALLY agree with you, then I found out 3 years ago that one of my friends used to subscribe to AIG's Creation magazine when he was in High School. Upon coming to uni, and speaking to a few ppl (there's a magazine here called Salt, published by people who are evangelicals but hold to a "open...

    Adam ex nihilo?

dunno, but it seems that 'created' and 'formed' are much the same thing. concerning the 'wide-angled shot' - I've always seen Gen1 as "God's perspective" - "big picture" or "bird's eye view" of the whole universe when God created it. Imagine movie camera, from nothingness (blackness) to...

    Creationist Club

Sounds awesome. Here is an indepth Bible study for those who wonder why I take Genesis Chapter One as Literal History: of a 6 Day Creation Week, 24 Hours per Day with a 1 Day Rest. http://www.grisda.org/origins/21005.htm

    The Gospel and Theistic Evolution

he obviously didn't like what i had to say, his post had emotion written all over it - how old is he again? and who says that getting older means getting wiser, sure as hell isn't in Ecclesiasties! (mind the langauge) ;) thanks dude, comments like that makes me nostalgic of the times when i...

    The Gospel and Theistic Evolution

wow, that was helpful - did i even state that anyone *should* read what i have to say? - you obviously did. what do you make of James 3:6? I hope I stand next to you on Judgement day when God demands an answer for you "idle comment" (is that sin? wanting to stand next to this guy? - got a...

The effects of literalists on origins discussions

So you're throwing the first stone when our Lord Jesus asks “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” Jn. 8:7. It is comments like yours that make a otherwise intelligent debate become a futile bickering amongst Christian Fellowship. Hovind...

    Where are the YECs?

I realize and feel for you, but for me (in real life & online), I see this debate (generally, IE: Creation VS Evolution) as futile, and sometimes (most of the time even?) the debates appear to be just "burning time" and turning our focus away to what is important, that is, the life, death and...

    Where are the YECs?

Sorry mate, I just get sick of Christian TEs/PCs talking to us YECs like "mate, your 'creation science' is not real science" and making it out no different to if I were to pick up a copy of the Skeptical Inquirer / SCIAM / Nature and see them bagging Christian-Literal-Creation-6-Day-ists...

    Adam loved his wife.

The text of Gen 3:1-7 serves no purpose for us to deduce that Adam was "apart/away" from his Wife while the serpent did its dirty. Moreover, it says "She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it." key being: "who was with her". If it had said, she took a bit of fruit and...

    Young-Earth Creationist input only, please...
