    Favorite Bible verses

I'm not familiar with all of the Bible, but I really like this verse: "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8

Can you be baptised as an adult without going through RCIA?

Thank you for the responses everyone. I haven't been able to speak with the priest but someone at the church closest to be said that RCIA is the only way to be baptised at their church. Thanks. :) I'm starting RCIA but I'm back and forth between two cities because of school and will therefore be missing several classes (while I'm out of town at school). The RCIA team has been very understanding and is willing to let me go through the process regardless, but I was wondering...

How do Catholics view other Christian churches that allow contraception?

How do Catholics view other Christian churches that don't condemn the use of contraception (including condoms, etc.)? My understanding (and do correct me if I am wrong) is that most Catholics see the no-contraception teaching of the Catholic Church as "truth" or the one right way. As such, do...

Catholics United: Abortion - way beyond Roe vs. Wade

I agree. I don't think banning abortion would prevent it from occurring.

how do you feel about catholic/christian couples who choose not to have children?

I agree. This is one area I'm struggling with as I explore the Catholic faith (I asked about this in the thread on contraception commercials as well; You might find that thread interesting too).
