  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Most popular sport in the U.S.?

Maybe MLB is more an east coast thing as most of the historically dominant (and oldest) teams reside here for the most part.

Most popular sport in the U.S.?

I don't believe the NBA to be more popular than MLB at all. There's no true way to measure, the best would be percentage of capacity filled. In baseball the seats seem empty b/c many season ticket holders can't make it to all 81 home games (there are 162 games in the MLB regular season). The...

L MESSI End Times Paradoxes - Why illuminati deeply dislike best football player ever

Heh I thought you were talking about Tim Tebow lol. I'd hardly call him the best ever but certainly my fav athlete ever. I don't know anything about soccer, but know about the illuminati.

oh I guess r-e-t-a-r-d-e-d is a curse on here. Just didn't want anyone thinking I was dropping f bombs or something.

    The after-effect

Yeah acting like I care gives me mixed feelings. Part of me feels dishonest about it, like I'm lying. But on the other hand I believe I would probably care if I were able. If the best I can do is fake it then maybe someday it will become real. I always find it helpful to speak slowly. Not...

I did used to like some movies, but most of them weren't exactly what I'd call portraying Christian values. Few and far between were the ones I liked though. I did like comedies, unfortunately my humor was quite raunchy and know that is inappropriate. I appreciate the things you've said...

    The after-effect

Yeah I feel like that at times as well. I often get this sense of embarrassment over something I said or didn't say in the moment on things that happened years ago. It'll pop in my head and it'll make me cringe just thinking about it. Also happens to me on just about every job interview...

I thank you for your input. I'm trying to just accept that there are things about God I simply may never understand. But for someone who feels the need to understand things, especially of this grave importance, that is a maddening prospect. I could list a million reasons why "that's just...

Yeah, no crap. I'm well aware of God's wrath. It's plagued me for years. It's His love I don't get. If love is sending the vast majority of the people to ever have lived into everlasting fire, I don't know what wrath is. I know if I had I child I'd sure like to build a huge campfire and...

    Having problems with quiet times

I hear you about not understanding the OT at all. I'm not even sure why it's a part of the Bible myself (not saying it shouldn't be just that I don't understand why) I understand that issue of not being interested except to me it's the reading part. I can spend quiet time chatting away with...

    Whats your story?

I hear you man. Replace drinking with smoking weed and my situation seems exactly the same. I do have a Christian wife, but she gets frustrated sometimes cause I don't ever see to "get it". I don't even know a church to go to.

How do I learn to cope...

Being rejected is very difficult to cope with. But for most people it gets a little easier as time goes on. There is someone for everyone I think. Just try to keep seeking that. Take solace in the fact that EVERYONE gets rejected, Spectrum or not. It's not because of who you are, but who...

I have mild autism and I have a problem

As someone (though not a girl obviously) who was abandoned by my father at 8 yrs old, I understand the difficulties of relating to God as your father. I know I've heard it and don't always know what it means. Young boys and girls look to their father for different things growing up, but in my...

Thank you for your response it may have come at the exact right time as I'm getting ready to throw in the towel in many ways. You are quite correct that I doubt severely whether I am saved or ever will be. I'm caught in a rut of finding God unfair. I don't feel I can ever be content as the...

    Church in NJ?

Yeah no thanks. I believe the real Bible thank you. Jehovas Witnesses come to my door sometimes if I wanted to receive a butchered gospel.
