  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm having trouble stepping foot back in a church

Thank you, Bob. "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come Matthew 24:14" (Colossians 1:23) "And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times...

I'm having trouble stepping foot back in a church

Donnamabob, I was reading Acts the other night, and in Acts 9:31 of the KJV it reads "Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea, and Galilee, and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied". I thought I would break...

    Who is God?

Romans 4:15 "Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. " John 1:17 " For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ". Ephisians 2:15 "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances...

    God's word all

The "whosoever" of 1Joh could just as easily be translated "ALL" or "Whatsover"...is born of God. Well that's your spirit, not your soul or body. If Christians can't sin, then why did John say the following....to the Christians he was writing to? The whosever is speaking of every one who loves...

    God's word all

Hello, and thanks for the welcome. You miss the whole point, a Christian is not a sinner, a sinner is of the devil 1 John 3:8, so if you are a sinner, do not be calling yourself a saint. A Christian has the same mind of Christ and has ceased from sin 1 Peter 4:1, and does not sin and cannot sin...

    Who is God?

"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent, Acts 17:30". "Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth John 9:31". "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children...

What Commandment did God say to; "Remember", that the world wants to forget?

Could it be that The Lord Jesus Christ done away with the law of commandments? That He abolished them, blotted them out, disannulled them? Could it be that you are blinded in the reading of the old testament? Could it be that when Moses is read the veil is upon your heart? "For the law was given...

Internet addiction: how do you deal with it and still be in forums?

I thought about giving some advice, but then I realized I am starting to spend too much time on here myself. Well, we have to be somewhere doing something, if you are not learning then you are not living. It will all work out for the best.

why do you think some Christians have so much problems with gay rights?

Paul tells us in Titus 3:9 "But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law, for they are unprofitable and vain". And Tertius writes in Romans 13:8 "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law". Peace...

    Where did the sin go?

Teagranny, you are almost there, keep growing in the knowledge of Him. John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but pass from death into life". Romans 5:18-19 are also profound verses of...

    God's word all

Has the concept that God's word all includes everyone and everything, ever entered into the mind of a sinner?

I'm having trouble stepping foot back in a church

The most High, or Almighty God does not dwell in temples made with hands, but in our heart. Acts 7:48, Acts 17:24-25, and Hebrews 8:10. May you find some peace and understanding in these verses. Have a blessed day, and always remember God loves you. Your brother in Christ, Barry

why do you think some Christians have so much problems with gay rights?

They (sinners) have missed the whole point of the New Testament, and why the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified. Sinners are blind and still in their sins. They have never seen Christ or known Christ. They are a servant of the devil. To give an example, Tertius writes in Romans 2:1 "Therefore thou...
