  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Should Christians be using a cross?

\\Would Jesus be okay with you wearing a cross?\\ I checked and He said He's ok with it. But He also told me to tell you to mind your own business. Glory to Jesus Christ!

Should Christians be using a cross?

St. Paul wrote that the very word "Cross" is foolishness to those who are perishing. Then how much more the visual reminder of it is to those who are perishing. \\When you wear a cross your remembering his death and not his resurrection.\\ WRONG! Speak for yourself. \\ Plus its been used in...

Rights, rituals, traditions, sacraments, religious customs, practices, and observances, holy days..?

The word you're looking for is spelled "rite/rites", not "rights". Christ is baptized! In the Jordan!

    Baptist Church Hires Lesbian pastors

Here are my thoughts. Unless you're a member of this congregation, or denomination, it's none of your business. Why condemn someone whose sins are disreputable, when your own might be disastrous? Christ is baptized! In the Jordan!

    Are instruments in worship allowed?

Most Eastern Orthodox churches do not use musical instruments. Byzantine Chant, which has microtonal intervals (such as the note between F and F#) simply will not work with modern organs. It's not a theological issue with us, but simply practical. We do well enough without them, though. Christ...

Church history on the Catholic Bible vs Protestant Bible?

I, too, am Orthodox, Anastasia. Are you familiar with the Orthodox Study Bible. The NT is the NKJV, but the OT is translated from the Septuagint. Christ is baptized! In the Jordan!

Koran verses read denying Jesus Son of God in Cathedral

This makes no sense, even for Anglicans. Herod killed children. Trump ran on stopping killing children by abortion. Christ is baptized! In the Jordan!

Are we in the last of the last days?

According to Acts 2, we've been in the last days since the Descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Whether these are the last days of the late great planet Earth, I know not, but at 66 these could well be my last days.

Is Cremation a choice for the deceased Christians ?

How about those who have died in shipwrecks, such as the Titanic, where absolutely NOTHING is left. Cremation does NOT destroy corpses totally, Ashes and even bone fragments remain There was a time when our physical bodies did not exist. The God allowed our bodies to come into existence by...

    Psychics

Your friend might have been given a warning by God for your sake. Most of us, including myself, have what some might call "psychic accidents"--or they might be messages from the Holy Spirit. Don't worry about it, and don't seek such experiences in the future. Christ is baptized! In the Jordan!

Sex before marrieag - just not the women?

ST. Basil said much the same thing about the double standard that existed in his time, too. Forgive the blank posting. One day I'll learn how to operate this properly. Christ is baptized! In the Jordan!

Spoken words or Traditions used to make or confirm Scripture vs. RCC traditions (after the Bible).

Tradition is the LENS to focus the Light of God's Word to where it does the most good. Happy New Year!

    Champaign, Caviar & Christianity

I have better things to do than worry about what other people eat, especially when there are people who seldom get to eat. Do you think they simply served bread and gruel at the Wedding of Cana? The Passover, by the time of Christ, was an elaborate banquet. And Jesus Himself gave directions...

    I have a dumb question

Where did you get the idea that you know what Jesus means? Deciding for yourself who is a "true Christian" and who is only "professing" is PRECISELY the judgement we are forbidden to make. "Judge not," remember. Happy New Year.
