  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is man created in the image of God? Not anymore!

The image of God in man was marred (but not destroyed) by sin but fully restored in salvation.

    Law Out – Life In!

Although we are not under the Civil or Ceremonial Law, we are still under the Moral Law of God. This was revealed to Israel in the 10 commandments. To the Church in Christ's command to love God with our whole being and our neighbor as ourselves. This law has been written in our hearts as a...

    The Rise of Pauline Hanson

Don't know who I will vote for next time around. I am a conservative but don't like the choices of either Pauline Hanson or Angus Taylor. I think politics in Australia is at an all-time low in credibility and lack of ethical backbone. God help us!

Jesus has perfected forever those who are being sanctified

How do you define the word perfect? Faultless? Blameless? Jesus in the sermon on the Mount called us to be 'perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect'. Matt 5:48. A close inspection of that passage reveals that Jesus spoke of a perfection in love. Being sanctified is being cleansed from...

    Bournemouth, Demons And God's Sovereignty

Hard to say which it was, demon or some sort of hallucination. But as you say, God's in control in all things, that is our hope and confidence.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remains in him....

That may be true, but it is no excuse to live a life practicing sin. Jesus came to deliver us from sin, from its penalty, its power and its presence.

    Done With Sin!

The general attitude amongst modern day Christian that continual sinning is inevitable must be challenged. First John 3 is a rebuke to the sin loving Christian. It is my belief that a true Christian will have a desire, be it ever so small, to live a holy life. The absence of this desire for...

I dont love God like a christian should

I ask in all kindness the question, are you truly saved? Jesus said a good tree produces good fruit; a bad tree produces bad fruit. Your life appears to contradict your profession. Paul wrote,' If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away; behold, all things have...

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remains in him....

So many believers are taught and sincerely believe that continual sinning is inevitable for them. They do not believe that the grace of God can deliver them from the vicious cycle of sinning and repenting. It is as though passages like Romans chapter six never existed. There is in the Atonement...

The Experience Of God's Perfect Love

Yes, Jesus has taken the sting out of death for the believer. John Wesley said of the early Methodists that 'they die well'. Such should be our testimony to the world.

Advantages of the Modern Critical Text of New Testament.

That is an old, tired KJV only argument. There are no copies of Byzantine text before the 4th century, which shows the lateness of the manuscripts the TR was based on. There are no quotes from the early Fathers that indicate familiarity with the Byzantine text.

Advantages of the Modern Critical Text of New Testament.

Ok, I'll start. The older the manuscript, the more chance there is that it will be close to the original. As the Critical Text is based on the older manuscripts, the more accurate it is.
