  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Whether God exists

Oh and by the way everything is a grace, the air you breathe, the car you drive, the strength to wake up in the morning, health, water, physics, everything is set in motion by God and he holds it in being, so anything that happens to you in life is meant to bring you closer to Him, God knows us...

    Whether God exists

. If he presupposed God's existence he would have said like Ambrose "God is that which nothing greater can be concieved." So, no, Thomas is not saying that. Aristotle's Metaphysics, and The Summa Theologica. Right, which is the whole point of them, but they do not presuppose knowledge...

    Latin Mass Ruffling Some Feathers

The prayers aren't even really in the mass per se, they are just one set of propers of intercession made during Holy Week. It is only done once a year!!!

Here is my rough translation: Of the supreme pontiffs office to this time and always being that the Church of Christ to the Divine Majesty offers the dignified cultivation. By the indescribable time as truly unto will be existing, firstly it will be serving nearly anyone and the church...

Scio Latinam. Dicens gloria patri ea non potest dicere latinam, sed id est bonum.

    Whether God exists

That is why I prayed for you last night and the night before, and will do so again tonight. There is nothing illogical about them, other than your stating it. Metaphysics is something entirely different than regular physics, we cannot approach it in the same way. And I have already made it...

    Latin Mass Ruffling Some Feathers

Well whoever tells you that the 1962 mass has teh phrase perfidious Jews in it obviously doesn't know anything about the Liturgy since it was taken out in 1960. The pope is re-instating the mass according to the 1962 rubrics, so these people are just basically wrong and ignorant and shouldn't...

Could a demon in physical form attack a Christian?

Yes, it happened to many holy saints. St. Padre Prio, St. John Vianney, St. Faustina, St. Francis of Assisi, etc.

    Whether God exists

St. Thomas already did. I throughly proved it, just like Aristotle, Plato, Thomas and all the greatest philosophers. God is not something you can just pick up and throw into a pond like a rock, He is immaterial, and until you realize that, you will never believe He exists. But, lucky for you, He...

I don't have a soul so god does not exist.

Of course. He is physically unable because his soul (the form of the body) does not allow him to convey it because it is beyond his nature with regards to the power of his soul; therefore, the form makes his material body incapable of communicating realities such as eternity and infinite to us...

    Whether God exists

Its perfectly valid, and proves the existence of God, whether you accept it or not. No one can fully comprehend God or His greatness as He can. We can only understand according to our nature. Nothing I said was a subjective or relativistic claim. It's just the way things are. Reality is...
