  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Movies Which Offend You As A Christian?

Pretty much everything since the destruction of the Hayes Code in 1968 offends we in some way. The only exceptions seems to be Pixar and Sherwood Pictures. I usually just deal with the cursing, but when it turns to blasphemy, I'm out. I can live with violence. Any nudity is a no-go, and I...

    When Movies Were Really Movies!

I really like the old films compared to what is being released these days. Had the dropped "Broadway Melody," Singing in the Rain would be, IMO, the greatest film ever, and My Man Godfrey is my personal favorite (I REALLY like William Powell, see also The Thin Man series, the best detective...

What movies are you looking forward to?

Inception (Nolan's 2010 film) Hoodwinked Too! Dawn Treader Toy Story 3 The A-Team (if they do it right... but I may forgive them if Liam Neeson alone does well) 12 (a Russian remake of 12 Angry Men)

Any other Netflix users getting irate?

It's hard to get classic films online because the studios all argue about who owns the online rights. Netflix can't provide anything the studios won't give them. I'm more mad about how many of the DVDs I get from them are scratched to he point they skip. Blah.

    Knowing

Great FX (really liked the plane), but it felt like 2001: A Space Odyssey without the stuff that make Kubrick's film good. Not having ANY absolute themes is bad for a film.

    Holmes

It's just not Sherlock Holmes to me. The whole point of the series was that Sherlock just had to think. He hardly seems to do that at all in this film.

    Anybody heard of them?

I like "Oceans from Rain" and "Carloine"... both are great songs. I heard "Finally Awake"... great chorus, but the overall song isn't quite my taste.

    Family Force 5

Sorry to rain on the party, but I can't stand the group. Between the bad mixing, weak writing, and very inappropiate videos, I gave up on 'em.
