  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do beloved pets go to heaven?

The Bible doesn't address the matter of pets being in Heaven. But Scripture does tell us that in Heaven "the wolf and the lamb shall feed together." Isaiah 65:25. So we know that animals will be there. Why not our furbabies? BTW, Martin Luther said "If, when you get to Heaven, you want your...

Cannibalism is referenced very negatively in Scripture. Exekiel 5:10 comes to mind. But Scripture gives no explicit command against cannibalism. I'm seeing nothing that would place it next to blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.

But cannibalism is only illegal in one US state, that being Idaho. In other states a cannibal would be charged with discretion of a corpse. https://www.aallnet.org/lhrbsis/wp-content/uploads/sites/10/2019/03/LHRBSIS-Unbound-Volume-11-Number-1.pdf

Roe v wade about to be overturned.

Definitions come from places other than dictionaries. The words you said were in the Old Testament are not there. No matter what they are based on they are your words.

Actually BobRyan already provided this proof in post 248.

Which is what I’ve been saying—intellectual property existed in Biblical times; Intellectual property rights did not.

No, governed by state statute. If the police prosecute you for car theft, it will be because you broke state law. But the Bible doesn’t condemn the theft of intellectual property, even though written works existed in Biblical times.

Roe v wade about to be overturned.

Because it is a violation of the law.

But your supposed definition can’t be found in your source. You made it up. Why can’t you admit that?

"It is time to heed the constitution" when it comes to setting Roe aside

Post birth abortion? 14th Amendment. Citizenship begins at birth.

Not today, but cars didn’t exist in Biblical times. The written word did, and it was perfectly acceptable to steal it.

In your post 49 you said that murder was “The unjust taking of a human life.” Show me those words in Scripture. You can’t because they are there. You made the definition up.

Potential human. But where is the malice aforethought?

But the action of taking intellectual property in Biblical times was not illegal. It was not protected.
