  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Germany seems to be the coming Anti christ

Germany? The root of the anti-Christ? That would be disappointing.

Usage of Roman Rite in Anglican churches

I think its absolutely digusting. The Church of England is both Catholic and Reformed and as far as I am concerned, we should not be erring back to Romish doctrines and other popery. Let us preserve the beauty of the Book of Common Prayer and, the relatively pleasant, Common Worship without...

    Revelation TV Deleted.

We, as Christians, should be supporting Israel! I think Revelation TV is marvellous at what it does. Furthermore, thank goodness there is a TV programme proclaiming the truth of Biblical creation and not the rubbish the BBC spews out about the evolution theory.

Maggie thatcher where do you stand?

I admired Margaret Thatcher as a young person and regardless of her political views, which I didn't mind, she should still be respected as someone who defended her nation and its peoples through thick and thin. A true patriot and a fine example of British statesmanship.

    what is your favorite hymn?

My favourite has got to be Rejoice! the Lord is King by Charles Wesley. When it is sung to the Gopsal tune, it's divine!

    Tear-jerking hymns

Hello, Basically, I'm an organist and I'm interested in what hymns bring you to tears with the power, might and glory of God. One I have been practicing recently is 'Onward Christian soldiers', it just makes me burst out in tears because it's just very moving to even play! I'm hoping to...

Why is God often seen as an old man?

It's because he is the father and creator of all things visible and invisible. It's easier for people to see God as an old man because we are always taught to respect our elders. If he were depicted as a younger bloke we wouldn't perhaps fear him as much. Just my thoughts.

What is the purpose of opening the church doors on a Sunday?

I was speaking to the churchwardens at my parish church the other day about why exactly we opened we doors on a Sunday morning/evening. Is it to worship God? Is to bring people to Christ? Or, is it so we can grab peoples money to keep it open? How can you bring people to church in a village...

Why Celibacy for Catholic Priests and Nuns?

I had never noticed this before. It just goes to show that the Catholic Church appears to be quite blasphemous at times.

    Organ in Church Services

If someone comes to a Church of England parish church then they would probably expect for there to be an organ providing the music - there is one in nearly every church.

    Organ in Church Services

Do you like the use of the Pipe Organ in services of the Church of England? I for one think it's marvellous (although I am subject to biased since I play) and creates an atmosphere for majesty and magnificence to exalt the King of King's and the Lord of Lord's. Do you not agree? I find...

Why Celibacy for Catholic Priests and Nuns?

Where in the Bible does Paul say this, directly referring to clergymen, please?

Why Celibacy for Catholic Priests and Nuns?

No, it is not biblical at all. For starters, Peter, who they believe was the first Pope, had a wife as it is told in Luke 4:38-39. Ye hypocrites!

Anglicans, do you see yourselves as more Protestant, or more Catholic?

I would say I am a firm Protestant and firmly against the Roman Catholic Church and their arrogance.

    Born Again.. Anglican

I consider myself to be a born-again Anglican. I have confessed with my mouth and repented in my heart that Jesus is Lord and He is our saviour. I was only baptised this year and for me I didn't want the full submersion, it would also have been impractical in a parish church, but it meant...
