  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    what pentecostal are you?

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: I don't see that it says to baptize in the NAMES, but in the NAME.

    what pentecostal are you?

Sorry YoungCoGuy, I'm going to have to disagree with you on baptism. The apostles did baptize in Jesus' name. But, Jesus knew his disciples had an understanding of who He was. When he said to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, notice he said NAME, not NAMES. Because...

    what pentecostal are you?

I would like to add here that holiness is more importantly a condition of the heart. That's what Jesus tried to stress to the Pharisees and Saducees. They followed the law to the very letter and then cursed others for not doing the same. But God saw the condition of their heart. I do believe...

    whats the difference?

Mespie, I was UPC and my best friend is ALJC. I do not call myself a trinitarian, but I currently attend a church with "trinitarian" beliefs. I have learned that trinitarians believe in one God as well. They just emphasize the three different aspects of God as mentioned by Jesus himself...

    whats the difference?

I have a rather interesting story. I was not raised United Pentecostal, but came into the church when I was 14. My grandmother, however, was raised United Pentecostal, but I did not know that until I came into the church. I am no longer UPC for reasons I do not want to go into right now...

    Changing your identity

Wow! I am really impressed by what I'm reading here. I am new to the forum and I had a difficult time finding a topic worth reading and replying to. I don't want to argue and fight people. I just want encouragement and to encourage others in the Word. I find myself constantly struggling to...
