    Bird Flu (possible pandemic?)

sigh. Well, I guess if google is your only source, you are bound to accept anything you find there. I guess your history class is taught off google and not a real textbook where the facts have been checked and all? You are just arguing because you have some personal issues with me and not...

really? Let's have some documentation to support this statement?

    Bird Flu (possible pandemic?)

You don't understand the UK's quarrantine system. You can't even take a dog into the country without a six month stay in isolated quarrantine. Birds undergo a one-year quarrantine. This bird was kept isolated, and if it was a new import, it couldn't have been there more than a few days, since...

    These poor Nuns.

As stewards of God's money meant for the poor, the sisters have the responsibility to be careful with who and what they give it to. Instead of pitying the nuns, pity the poor and homeless, the hungry, the tired, the stressed out families, the people who really needed the help and didn't get it...

I clearly said it was over the course of a year.

    These poor Nuns.

Boy, there's no middle ground around here is there, everything is completely black or completely white. The man is completely at fault and the nuns who allowed themselves to be bilked over a period of a year are completely innocent. And every old person who gets bilked out of his or her life...

    These poor Nuns.

So there's this guy, maybe taking the sister's money for drugs, maybe for all sorts of illegal activities as far as the sisters know, and they just hand over the money and it's all HIS fault. Come on, you can see that's not right!

Yes, if that person asks for $600,000, I do think they should investigate him before forking over the cash. that's not out of line or unreasonable.

Then the system is working and this is not a case of bird flu on the loose, is it?

    Bird Flu (possible pandemic?)

I guess it's better to believe everything we read on the internet than to use our minds. There aren't any wild parrots in Europe and the flu is transmitted from bird to bird, it doesn't just float around in the air. A parrot in Europe would have to be a house pet, which would be caged indoors...

Yes everything we can read online is the truth, I forgot that.

    These poor Nuns.

Yes, the nuns are completely innocent here. They gave this guy $600,000 over the course of a year without verifying his need or honesty, money that was donated to them for use in actual charitible cases, money that wasn't available to the truly needy, but they are totally harmless from any...

    Bird Flu (possible pandemic?)

A parrot in Europe? I doubt if George Bush will be able to do anything to stop the plague if it is God's will for it to be an epidemic.

He has no conscience, but the sisters didn't use their brains. If they kept giving him money without checking him out or at least verifying his need, they are culpable in their own swindling. Fool me once, shame on you, full me continually between December 2003 and November 2004, shame on me!
