  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Christianity and piercing/tattoos

I think 40% of our church goers have tats on them, and face piercings too. It is no big deal. The older people kind of don't like it, but I think that has more to do with age than religion. I think people mostly stare out of curiosity. They are thinking "why did that person do that?" not...

    I saw Virgin Mary

Hi zylox... I have had that same thing happen. Something very similar. I was raised Catholic and it first happened when I was about 14 and through my rebellion fromteh church it happened, and through my recommitment to Christ as a born-again Christian, it still happens. You think you are...

Is This the Face Of the Crucified Christ

Mr Hako, though I do agree with you about people being predisposed to see faces...they are not genetically predisposed to see words...I will admit when I am wandering around my yard here in the desert, sometimes I find rocks in the shape of a heart, and that isn't unusual, sometimes they even...

What do you really belive needs to happen?

It makes me very sad to think of the people living in that area. It seems everyone there thinks they are doing the right and best thing for their people. Nobody will back down, everyone is fighting for their home. I can't even imagine how hard it must be. The US being predominantly...

    Mad Mad House

I think I would really enjoy meeting those people and learning all what they are about, the five in the show were all intelligent well spoken individuals. But having said that, I know I would lose the money, since I wouldn't be interested in participating in a lot of the stuff. And in fact by...

    Learning Languages

I was wondering what languages we all speak here. I understand (I think) that most every Muslim needs to know Arabic. Same for Jews speaking Hebrew. Are there other languages learned for religion? Also are there any Christians here that have learned Arabic?

    Biblical Theme Garden

Grapes and figs maybe? There is tons of references to grapes and wine in the Bible, it would be nice to have some in the yard.

    Everyday food around the world

Living in Southern California and feeding three teenagers and a toddler, I am running out of cheap things to cook, Hambuger Helper is boring after a while. My three year old already likes a variety of foods, but I was hoping to expand on everyone's taste by including menus from around the...

    Greek Food

I have to second that! I had an Armenian friend, his mom used to make grape leaves all the time, so yummy, I could eat them all. but I do not remember them being baked, but steamed instead....hmmmm. I never could get the recipe because of the language barrier :( my friend would try to...

    Crochet

I taught my stepson to crochet when he was about 11. It was very hard for him to see what I was doing and understand it. It was pretty frustrating. He was tryign to copy what I was doing, but couldn't duplicate it. So I sat behind him and crocheted, so he could see what I was seeing, that...

    Mad Mad House

So what did you think of the outcome? I am so glad they cut out the weasels and left it to the two girls. I personally thought it was great to portray the Alts in such a caring light, they all seemed like genuinely nice people. Hopefully the show will inspire people who are quick to make...
