    Don't worry I've read all of Leviticus, all of the Bible and many other books. God freed the Israelites from bondage and then gave them permission to hold others in bondage. Doesn't seem to fit the "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" command that will follow in the NT.

    Let me re-word my question. If slavery was an important, accepted part of the economy during OT times, what was wrong with the Israelites being slaves?
