Really? how much improvement to the world has come out of those affected by Asperger's?

My immediate reaction is why - but the title of the thread gives that answer. However, there is still a question in my mind which is expressed as how? at the moment. I might refine that answer once I have pondered this a bit more.

Yes - lack of emotions is seems to be something that occurs often for Aspies; it has a name - alexithymia. You might want to follow that thread and see where that leads you. Alexithymia seems to be a significant factor in the lives of many people on the spectrum.

For me it does affect my relationship I am oblivious when people say that they sense that the Spirit is really present I miss the hints that others pick up as signs of Jesus moving I don't get the connections that other get due to their social understanding

You might try to divert your thinking from one thing to another. I find that deciding to stop thinking of one thing and to think of another works for me. and when my mind wanders back i decide to refocus
