  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

They aren't personal attacks. It's "A whip for the horse, a bridle for the [donkey], and a rod for the fool’s back." (Prov. 26:3) Some might call it tough love. Sometimes there's nothing left but to tell someone who's wrong that they are wrong, or to tell someone who is being irrational that...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

Again, I have no dog in this fight. I don't really care what you believe. I disagree with you, and I think you are theologically clueless. I've been studying theology for over thirty years. But hey! You're the expert. So . . . whatever you say bossman.

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

I use a combination of Claude Sonnet and Google Gemini regularly for research in a data-mining sense. I refuse to let it write for me, and I don't trust anything it says without looking it up first. But I do find it to be a helpful sounding board, since it can comprehend complex historical...

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

Let me be frank with you. I have no dog in this fight. If someone wants to worship on Sunday, that's fine by me. If someone thinks they should worship on Saturday, that's fine by me, too. I don't care. As Paul says, "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let...

Whatever you say boss. Guess you just got it all figured out.

Asking AI to explain Sunday observance when NT has no such command

Just to say so, Acts 20:7 doesn't say that the disciples came together on the first day of the week because Paul was leaving. It says that when they came together on the first day of the week "to break bread," Paul came and preached. They didn't come for him. He took advantage of the opportunity...

Please : Do they know of which astrological sign was Jesus ?

The personality profiles of the various signs are commercialized modern garbage. In the interest of full objectivity in my studies, I have studied astrology, whether uptight Christians like that or not. And I can tell you that there is no fixed guide that is all-encompassing for people born...

Please : Do they know of which astrological sign was Jesus ?

Contrary to the ugly comments on here, the Jews did recognize the zodiac signs. They used them for purposes other than astrology. The Essenes, known for being strict observers of the law, have an entire document (4Q318 in the Dead Sea Scrolls) dedicated to the passage of the moon through the...

Didascalia Apostolorum Teaching of the Apostles inspired scripture

I suppose that might be reconsidered if something surfaced in a horde of first century documents, like 3 Corinthians, which we know was written. We just don't have a copy of it. I don't know if it would become immediately part of the Bible, but upon careful confirmation of its authenticity, it...

lol The AI wasn't really fighting with itself. He admits that he asked it a leading question. He wanted an answer, with the specific parameter that it answer him with the assumption the work was genuine. None of the AIs support his view when asked in a neutral way. But, again, I warned him...

Didascalia Apostolorum Teaching of the Apostles inspired scripture

I'm a Christian, and a New Testament scholar of thirty years. You still need not waste your time, because I don't intend to waste time on someone like you. I have better things to do with my time than try to convince people of facts who can't be convinced of anything beyond the sound of their...

Also, this: "and assume the Diascalia is historical, and not pseudepigrapha" This is why it gave you the answers you wanted. From ChatGPT: 1. “ChatGPT Supported My View” Usually Means Leading the Question I don’t have beliefs to defend or theological instincts to privilege. What I do is...

Didascalia Apostolorum Teaching of the Apostles inspired scripture

I didn't dodge anything. I was doing as requested. You told me to ask ChatGPT. And Chat GPT, as well as two other AIs, all agreed that you're mistaken, and that my argument is solid, academic, and scholarly, not merely from a scholarly consensus point of view, but from an evidentiary one. And I...

Didascalia Apostolorum Teaching of the Apostles inspired scripture

Kind of I had a laugh at that, too. But it's really a matter of misusing the tool. If he got answers that support his view, then he's asking it leading questions. I warned him that the AIs are programmed to cater and encourage. It doesn't matter what you're researching or trying to write...
