  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Believe into... In a biblical scripture context.

The faith of a born-again of God believer is Christ Jesus, Himself, as the faith that works and operates within a regenerated person. This faith that is the working/operating Christ Jesus has inherent within itself an obedience that is purposed to specifically carry out and accomplish the will...

Believe into... In a biblical scripture context.

Those are certainly my words... But they are my words that have been taken out of the context I wrote them in. Go back to my comment from which you copied them and check to actual context in which they were written then get back to me. Amen.

Believe into... In a biblical scripture context.

I didn't say nor suggest that the problem "...in churches..." is a result of "...using in or into for eis..."... In my opening comment, all I asked is whether "...in..." or "...into..." should be used when translating the Greek word transliterated as "...eis...". So you're kind of setting up a...

Believe into... In a biblical scripture context.

Yes... But in specific relation to the use of the word "...in..." instead of "...into..." in John 3:16... "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that every one who believes in] Him would not perish, but would have eternal life." The word "...in..." actually means, in...

Believe into... In a biblical scripture context.

Perhaps you can present an example of the Greek word transliterated as "...eis..." meaning both "...in..." and "...into...", as I have done some extensive research on the matter and have not found any resource that tells us this. On the contrary, everything that I have found has told us that the...

Believe into... In a biblical scripture context.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, just saying that the word could mean either "...in..." or "...into..." isn't really good enough, as in application they mean two different things... Unless we give "...in..." a definition of "...into...". To believe "...in..." something, when considered...

Believe into... In a biblical scripture context.

Hi, Not sure if this is the proper forum for this topic... Please let me know if it isn't. For some years now I have been clear that the Greek word, "...eis..." (a transliteration), has been commonly translated into English as in... Such as in the following biblical scripture verse... John...

    Where is my Indwelling Spirit?

Really... "...Maybe..."? Shoot... You can't even apologize without trying to defend/justify yourself. The Lord knows. Amen.

    Where is my Indwelling Spirit?

I had to smile at this... Yes, sister... Not only is he not using his discernment... Neither is he in his spirit as he presents his multitude of words, and in this exposes his lack of prudence/wisdom... Proverbs 10:19... "When there are many words transgression does not cease, but he who...

    Where is my Indwelling Spirit?

ViaCrucis says... "It's true that Adam's soul was pure and undefiled by sin before the fall." Not only is it "...true that Adam's soul was pure and undefiled by sin before the fall...", but this biblical fact utterly destroys your negative claim about human feeling. What this tells us is...

    Where is my Indwelling Spirit?

ViaCrucis says... "Faith isn't something I work in myself, but rather what God graciously gives me, works in me, creates in me, and strengthens through the Gospel." All that is true... Except for the "...strengthens me through the gospels part..."... Faith is strengthened by our exercising the...

    Where is my Indwelling Spirit?

Biblelesson... You're correct in saying that we must say what the Bible says regarding a matter... That's why God gave us His written word. But... Not everything is revealed in the Bible, and so, regarding certain things that are not revealed in the Bible... Or more specifically... Not...

    Where is my Indwelling Spirit?

So now you're boasting publicly about "...forgiven you for any personal offense." Do you not properly understand this... Matthew 6:1... "But take care not to do your righteousness before men in order to be gazed at by them; otherwise, you have no reward with your Father who is in the heavens."...

    Where is my Indwelling Spirit?

ViaCrusis says... "The work of the Holy Spirit and the gift of God. If faith were a feeling, then it would just be another part of my fallible, sinful, depraved humanity." Come on now ViaCrucis... Take some time to actually consider this before the Lord... Did God create man with a "...living...

In terms of spiritual mechanics or dynamics, what does it mean being born again?

That's a bit of a book you wrote there, Soyeong... I'll just take your thoughts one at a time... First one... You said... "There are a lot of things commanded in 1 Peter 2, though they are in accordance with what God has commanded, so I don't see how you can say that they have nothing to do...
