CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm a 52 year old guy who still gigs as a bass player and guitar player in that order of preference of instrument at the semi-pro level these days.
I became involved in Christian music back in the 70's when it was pretty much an underground phenomana of the Jesus People culture of the times of which I spent my youth and early conversion years as a part of. Today , besides the odd secular gigs that come my way, I play for the worship team of my church.
I've been proudly married to my wonderful wife who has lovingly put up with me for over 25 years now. We have no children but have been blessed to be the Aunt and Uncle of many nephews and neices. We share our domicile with 3 cats at the moment.
Outside of my musical interests I am an avid reader with a particular interest in history and current affairs. For novels I do love well crafted suspense and well written horror fiction. I confess to liking and having read a good deal of Stephen King and Peter Straub and even Anne Rice to name a few modern writers in the field. I also try to keep up on my Bible studies and theology. I am a huge C.S. Lewis fan on top of everything else.
