  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Foreboding Cloud

Foreboding Cloud

Going out into my backyard near sunset, to feed the hummingbirds, I saw this cloud. It was basically the only cloud in the sky. It almost appears as a giant figure's profile, facing left, possibly blowing something from it's mouth. Anybody else read anything into this picture, just for fun?

It seems like some harbinger of doom. Maybe it is the deep darkness fringed by light making the cloud seem somehow unnatural. The blue sky to the left only adds to the weird contrast. Did you feel uneasy when you saw it?

@Radrook
Not really, but it reminded me of the cloud that covered the space ship in "Independence Day." It just looked weird, out in the middle of all that blue sky, and so foreboding looking. I am tempted to open in up in the "Paint" program, and outline the face I see in this cloud. Liked your comments.

@Greg Merrill

Now that you mention it, I do see a face. Not sure if it's the same one you see though. The gaping mouth in mine is the dark v shaped area with upper lip streaming away to the right. The eyes are the two dark areas bordering the lit part. Sort of like an expression of extreme grief accompanied by weeping.

It is a giant hand pressing down on the head of a giant airborne fish. In the middle one looks inside the stomach of the fish to note a human figure in distress, near disintegration.
