There have been over a million casualties much because Democrats elected Joe Biden and Joe said a "minor incursion" would be allowed. I had an immediate reaction and was dreading that Putin would invade and call it a minor incursion. My fears became reality. Everyone's life is precious. At least one man in the world is trying to negotiate peace, it is madness to fight a war with no ending. Ukraine does not have to accept any offer, but at least someone is seeing that an offer is made.

Imagine how many lives could have been saved if we sued for peace on 12/8/41.

Fox lol, no, I read on this forum because of the tribal warfare, I get a dose of both sides. Ufortunately as of late, I have to log on to read this forum. I also listen to russian propaganda along with Firstpost (India), Taiwan plus news, NHK World-Japan, and whatever clickbait catches my eye.

That is rather imprecise. Did someone of them say that Russia wouldn't try to expand further? Russia have been trying to impose it wills on its neighbours since before the russian invasion.

No. From the outside looking in when both come to a peace agreement, and if the USA is in the agreement for security, Russia will not go to war with us, not yet.

Russia's not the only superpower doing this; we all meddle in each other's business, and America's was the Middle East. Whether you want to believe this or not, Russia felt threatened by NATO expansion.

All Ukraine has to do is listen to Russia because they haven't been doing well because of manpower. Russia will create a buffer zone that Putin requested a decade ago due to NATO expansion. Ukraine wants to keep the land that their Army holds and Putin won't stop till he gets what he is after (Not the whole of Ukraine. Zillinsky better hurry up because if they lose the Port of Odesa (I hope not), they'd be in deep kimchi.

No, that would be untrue. Well true in a sense. Russia has not been worried about NATO in the sense that they are threatened by it in the sense that you seem to imply that NATO would invade or otherwise militarily threaten them. They are "threatened" in the sense that NATO expansion means diminishing of their ability to use the threat of force (several kinds) to influence the countries they formerly occupied.

I know, becausr I do not have Christmas dinner or crackers or any of the other things.

It came to me in my thoughs, the famous, Christmas truce from ww1.

It lasted only one day, what is wrong with giving peace a chance.

It might be good for all the armchair generals on CF to take a day off.

The real miracle of the christmas truce was that after eating, drinking, singing and even paying soccer together, the soldiers of the two sides went back into their trenches and got back to killing each other.
