I held a straight edge to the horizon and it curves down at the edges. It probably doesn't curve much because the barrel distortion of the lens has straightened straightened it.

Much has been made the extra mileage of captain Cooks voyage to Antartica claiming that Antartica must be much be bigger due to the thousands of extra miles traveled compared to what the actual journey should have been. Being from the Great Southern land I do know some about his journeys . And that being there were a number of detours along the way which sufficiently accounts for the extra mileage . I agree that Satan does not have the power or knowledge to prophesy the future, and that there are some evil people working in most institutions. What I don't agree with is the idea that NASA as an organisation is especially evil or devilish.

I remember from school science lessons that as gases, like air, get hotter, they become less dense, and so lighter than cooler gases. That is why hot air rises.
