Right he made the decisions which is why Nancy Pelosi made him resign his candidacy. Who was really making all of the decisions, running the country, and signing documents is a legitimate question that should be investigated. If it's proven to be untrue, than that question can be laid to rest. The more objection and pushback there is to it being investigated, the more suspicious it looks.

That only happened after his performance or lack thereof during the debate, which pretty much obliterated any doubt regarding his cognitive abilities for many. And made all the claims about him being sharp as a tack appear to be a lie. It was a classic "the emperor has no clothes" situation.

Allegedly (since I never verified this), Biden tended to work in the Oval Office during the morning until maybe 2 in the afternoon, if you check the White House schedule book. The claims were that Biden was "sharp" during the morning hours but, the later it got the more issues he started to have, and the debate was scheduled at night.

Given Biden's performances in the debates in 2020, this type of age related issues seem much more likely than the idea that he couldn't do anything 4 years later. But, of course, it is this last bit that is pushed around right wing echo chambers, despite a complete lack of evidence.

Decline can progress pretty rapidly on a downhill slope once it's started. It can be improved through medication up to a point but eventually that loses effect. A president needs to be able to be sharp and make snap decisions late at night, on little sleep, and so on. If he's unraveled by 6 PM, he's not capable of running the United States and being the leader of the free world.

The National Security Advisor, Security Council and the Pentagon. They all should have some options lined up by 6 AM for the POTUS. Then again, he might need two more weeks.

I mean he was convicted in a court of law and the court was called illegitimate, or a kangaroo court.

I'm not claiming it was ok. Yet, for some reason, we keep electing older and older people as President. My personal hope is that they had at least created the paperwork for Biden to (at least) temporarily step down, if there was a 2 am emergency and he wasn't able to make decisions. Unfortunately, Biden appeared to have a lot of hubris, to the point he thought he could win reelection and successfully serve a second term, even after the disastrous debate performance.

It's possible he could have. Note that the only times Trump won the election, he ran against a woman. Perhaps misogyny played a role, and the outcome might have been different had the Democratic ticket been lead by a man
