  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's a "terrorist fist jab" when MBS does it.
I believe the Biden's fist bumps were reported by conservative media as another weak gaff from Biden. COVID 19 was still a thing so fist bumps weren't that unusual. But Biden was so cringy to watch.

But in the particular example with the Saudi Prince, it was seen as a sign of disrespect. Notice in this video how Biden is shaking hands with people as he comes off the plane only to give a fist bump to the Prince he is accusing of murder.

It’s funny how much some of you take after him. You couldn’t help but try to make this visit some contest between Trump and Biden being received by the Saudis and Trump couldn’t tout his accomplishments without also bringing up Biden on the same breath.

The old guy lives rent free lol.
He was quoting from the article.

Trump, Saudis secure $600B investment deal to include billions in US defense weapons

President Trump on Tuesday secured a $600 billion commitment from Saudi Arabia to invest in the United States along with a multibillion-dollar defense partnership following a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh.
The investment, according to a White House fact sheet, will strengthen energy security, defense, technology and access to global infrastructure and critical minerals. It includes a $142 billion defense and security deal that equips Saudi Arabia with state-of-the-art war equipment provided by dozens of U.S. firms.
The equipment includes air and missile defense and air force and space advancements.
And....

Saudi Arabia's PIF strikes multi-billion investment deals with US asset managers

DUBAI, May 14 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund Public Investment Fund on Wednesday announced it has struck multi-billion deals with U.S.-based asset management giants Franklin Templeton (BEN.N), opens new tab and Neuberger Berman.

Saudi Arabia's defense spending since 2012 ranges from $55 billion to $75 billion. It is important to view these announcements critically, as the claim of spending $126 billion is double their total defense budget. Saudi Arabia may spend $126 billion on U.S. weapons over the next 20 years, but this expenditure will not occur immediately.

No other congress, apart from the current one that supports President Trump without question, would approve a $126 billion weapon sale to Saudi Arabia. Most likely when Democrats control Congress, or another President enters the White House, regardless of whether Republicans or Democrats hold congressional power after 2029, they will block this sale of weapons. Traditional conservatives and centrist Democrats who prioritize U.S. national security will not support a massive weapons sale to Saudi Arabia.

Thank goodness Democrats are not in comtroll

Fault finding is a poor debate tactic and the 600 billion goes into our economy and supports good paying jobs.

As for blocking the sale on 2029. This sale is over the next four years. There will be no sale to block from the arty of no.

The current state of American politics is regrettable. It has devolved into comparisons of leaders and parties, where individuals assert the superiority of their chosen candidate or political affiliation over others. This dynamic resembles the behavior of children arguing over the quality of their possessions.

Why mention President Biden? He is no longer involved in American politics. Let’s thank him for his service to the nation and move forward.

You have not read my post or done any research. Saudi Arabia's GDP is less than $1.2 trillion, so they do not have $600 billion to spend. They cannot invest money they do not have.

Regarding defense spending, Saudi Arabia's defense budget has averaged $60 billion per year over the past 15 years. Therefore, spending $126 billion on defense weapons over the next four years is mathematically unlikely.

This thread is about Trump, is it not? Why is Biden even being mentioned at all here?

Unless Trump only looks good by comparison to who you all have labeled the “worst president in history”.

Perhaps you know more than the Prince of Saudi Arabia - but I do not believe you do. Regardless - it happened and is being reported by numbers of sources.

I agree. The DNC has already sent him out to pasture along with Hillary and Kamala. In about 5 years, nobody is even going to think about them anymore.
