CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So your argument is that the President of the US can unilaterally suspend a congressional approved program.
I regret to inform you that the US court and possibly the next Democratic Congress may not agree with you. It is almost certain that the court will halt this Executive Order, and the next Congress might initiate impeachment proceedings.

Enjoy as long as it last. The court will strike down the EO order in few months.
Even if the court does not strike down the Executive Order, Americans have become so partisan that they are willing to cede congressional power to the President for a temporary win against the other party. Today, that power may work in favor of one party, but tomorrow it will benefit another party.
President Trump cancelled the tax-exempt status for Harvard and withheld funding from the PBS. Similarly, the next Democratic president may use their authority to take actions that some people might not agree with.

I am fine if these actions are supported by congressional legislation. However, President Trump is bypassing Congress and using executive orders. Just as President Trump uses executive orders to dismantle liberal agenda, the next Democratic president may use them to alter the right-wing agenda.
Why do you support President Trump bypassing Congress? Another president could use the same method to do things you might oppose. For instance, what if a Democrat president revoked tax exemptions for Christian colleges? Would you support that?

Yes, it actually is. Who you support - and I don't mean who you think is the less evil man, but a man who you actually promote, a man whose praises you regularly sing, is a direct reflection of your values.
If you are trying to convince me that you had to vote for him only because you couldn't vote for the alternative, then you have failed completely. You constantly defend and excuse everything he does. You aren't simply supporting the policies. You are supporting the man himself. And as I said, that reflects on you.

As someone who does not support either political party, I would convey the same message to Democrats who may praise the president in 2029 for using executive orders to dismantle right-wing agendas.
Just as the majority of Americans voted for President Trump, in 2029, they might elect a candidate who could revoke all executive orders signed by Trump on their first day. The political turmoil will persist, with the president undermining Congress and the legal system, while his supporters continue to prioritize him over constitutional and democratic norms that Americans have cherished for 250 years.
I regret to inform you that this approach does not align with the principles of "America First" or "Make America Great Again." Instead, it undermines America and the American experiment.

The democrats aren't going to see the white house for decades IMHO, they burnt all their bridges under the actions of the Biden Admin
After president Trump finishes his term the liberal leftist agenda will be on life support a whisper, or dead in the grave gone, it will take a decade of democrats ruling in the house & senate majority to rebuild, and that ain't happening anytime soon

I really don't care - you have little to no impact on my life - your opinion doesn't effect me at all. I find this focus on me personally to be boorish and quite pedantic.
I can only present the truth - take it or leave it - then again if I create this much drama for you - there is always the ignore feature. Especially if it is such a distraction that you completely ignore the topic of the thread.
