With his history of sexual assaults, hush money payouts, shady financial dealings, letting criminals off the hook, tax avoidance, and his purported attacks on abortion and gays, ...not to mention, he just took a member of his administrative team, who's embroiled in a scandal, and transferred him to another location...

I just don't see how anyone would think he would be a good fit for senior role in that particular organization.

I hope you're being sarcastic. He killed someone in a hit-and-run incident, and was trying to cover it up when the police arrived at his house. He also covered for child molesters in the church. This all made national headlines.
