  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Judge Claims Trump Deported 2-Year-Old American Citizen with “No Meaningful Process” – Here’s What Really Happened

Parents of American children are free to take them with them to countries around the world.
I would expect that many Honduran parents, whose child is an American citizen, would prefer that child remain in the United States where they have access to better education, healthcare, and opportunity.

Does the USA government pay for the USA child to leave the country? Does the USA government insist the child goes even though one of the parents doesn't want the to go?

How is that situation dealt with in USA for white citizens of USA?

Recently Trump put forth the idea of paying the tickets of those who self deport and maybe give them some spending money so they could get situated. There would be justice if every person who promoted the entry of illegals was required to pay a fee or tax to support the program. This is not an issue of race, the left was admonished by the Supreme Court not too long ago for discriminating against those of Asian ancestry for admission into universities. So too their racist policies of DEI and CRT are being dismantled--trying to insert race into deportation is likewise deeply wrong.

Spend even more money to remove people from the economy? Not a good economic policy.

Transporting people over the border is already a crime subject to prison and fines.

Utterly irrelevant. (And it is universities that control admissions, not "the left".)

The Trump Administration did not deport the 2-year-old American citizen. Rather, the government was generous enough to pay for the child’s transportation back to Honduras at the legal custodian/mother’s request.
The American citizen is welcome to return to the US at a future date.

The judge should not have tried to prevent the mother, the legal custodian, from taking her child home.
They should have went before the judge before removing the child to ensure everything was legal and in the best interest of the child.

This mother wanted her child to go with her. We don't need to pick a fight with the Honduran government.

The U.S. government had no right to take the child away from her mother, a citizen of a foreign country.

Really, so if any country wants to take people from your country (USA citizens), you are just going to let them take.
Isn't that rather weak?

It is a custody issue between two parents at this point. They can settle this issue between themselves, just like other people do all the time

Parents are allowed to take their children where they wish until the child is 18. If I want to go to Canada and take my children with me the U.S. government has no right to detain me or the kids.

This is between the two parents to settle.

Do you think the USA govt will pay for your kids to go to Canada with you? Like you just buy one ticket and the USA govt pay for the other tickets?

That's a sweet deal.
Or do you have to have brown skin and a non anglo saxon name for that trick to work?

In custody issues a parent can't just take their child out of the country, they need to go through the court system. AND the USA govt doesn't usually pay for citizens to go on a trip somewhere.

A parent does not have to go through the court system every time they want to take their child out of the country.

As I said this is something that Trump has been considering.
