  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Trump punts to:

-His AG - who LIED stating the courts found Garcia to be a member of Tren de Agua
- Steven Miller - who repeats the lie...
-Marco Rubio

The Salvadoran president then punts, claiming he can't "smuggle" Mr Garcia back into the United States.

As a reminder, the USSC found that Mr Garcia's due process rights were violated and ordered the White House to "facilitate" his return to the United States.

And according to the President of El Salvador he and everyone else sent from the USA will never be released from prison.

Donald has given himself the power to label anybody a terrorist and send them to a foreign concentration camp for life.

Trump and Bukele make clear mistakenly deported Maryland father won’t be returned to US

President Donald Trump and El Salvador’s president, Nayib Bukele, both made clear during an Oval Office meeting today that the Maryland man who was wrongly deported to El Salvador won’t be returned to the United States.

Despite a Supreme Court ruling that the US must “facilitate” Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia’s return, White House officials have argued it’s up to El Salvador whether to do so. Asked directly by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins whether he plans to return Abrego Garcia, Bukele argued the notion of doing so would be “preposterous.”

“I hope you’re not suggesting that I smuggle a terrorist into the United States,” Bukele said. “How can I smuggle a terrorist into the United States? Of course I’m not going to do it. The question is preposterous.”

...from the man who fired 5 members of El Salvador's Supreme Court in 2021.

Something tells me he could care less about due process....or the USSC's opinion.

God bless the democracies of Central America and the New Money Gringos that keep them in power.

Democrats take note, you have a place to send the Trump Administration and supporters once you win big in 2028.

That will probably be the earliest time when that man gets out of the terror prison, too.

Is this fascism yet or do we have to wait until it happens to more people?

...or "really bad" American citizens....you know, citizens who don't have the right tatoos.

President Trump just said he was open to sending American citizens convicted of violent crimes to President Bukele’s prison in El Salvador. Trump had a similar response when Bukele first offered to jail convicted American criminals in February.

“I’m all for it,” Trump said, adding that his attorney general was studying whether the idea was legally feasible. “If it’s a homegrown criminal, I have no problem, no,” he said, adding: “I’m talking about violent people. I’m talking about really bad people.”

*laughs* it be funny if all the reasons for trump to be impeached this is it. I mean bad for the man, but this is the most avoidable.

I am a Conservative. But I must note that the evidence for Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia being a gang member is so thin, you can see clearly through it. And there is simply no indication, let alone evidence, that Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia is a terrorist.

Trump administration won't say where man mistakenly deported to El Salvador is

The Trump administration is declining today to tell a federal judge the whereabouts or status of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the man mistakenly deported to El Salvador last month despite a court order.

“I am asking a very simple question: Where is he?” US District Judge Paula Xinis said at the start of a hearing in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Department of Justice attorney Drew Ensign said he did not have the answer. “I do not have that information provided to me.”

Well. What do ya know?

oh I agree, I just mean that this is so agregious refusing to bring him back, that I don't see this going well for trump if he continues to refuse.

Frankly not a single person from this administration has shown any credibility regarding this case. They’re giving everyone, including the Supreme Court the runaround with their non answers and it looks more like the Trump administration has helped facilitate the abduction of a man out of the US on behalf of a foreign government.

But it’s ok. I’m sure they’ll stop at non citizens and people with foreign sounding names.

That was a very specific detailed explanation. He's an MS13 member who was here illegally.
