Do you believe that Trump has an ACTUAL plan?

Do you believe that Trump has, not a vision, but a plan to make his vision a reality?

Now, just like that, liberals hate the rich again. A complete 180 shift from yesterday when they were outraged that their portfolios took a temporary hit.
You were inferring things that were not meant to be inferred. I heard nobody say their opinions about rich people regarding the market tomfoolery.

Hmm... looks like no one else except the billionaires made money.
why would you say that? The issue with that isn't who made money, it's how the money was made. The billionaires got "early access" to more money.

401k holders now just loss LESS money under Trump....

Because the Bloomberg article made it sound like only investors who are billionaires made out. And the thought crossed my mind that there's millions of investors who aren't billionaires.

Here's the thing though. When a person says "made it sound like", that is not about the source they are reading, it's about their own bias in how they read the article.

And given the VERY well known numbers about who actually owns how much stock, AND the very real likelihood of insider trading, it seems silly to think because each working class American just made $0.89/month for their retirement, that a couple dozen billionaires should 300billion.

IF this happenned During Biden's presidency, working class Republicans WOULD RIGHTFULLY burn down the White House. But of course it did NOT happen during the Biden presidency, except for the one democrat who did it AND was help responsible for it.

Do you agree with AOC on the matter though?

There is a difference in condemning billionaires who enriched themselves through insider trading, tax fraud, corner cutting, etc. than in condemning "billionaires." Not every billionaire engages in criminal behavior. Look at Warren Buffett, the Oracle of Omaha. Not only is he honest, he also lives in the same home he bought in the 1950's, believes he should pay the same tax rate as his secretary (his is lower), and is giving almost all his vast fortune to charity when he dies.

He is in his 80's. I sure hope God didn't break the mold when he created great men like Buffett.

It's like that frog in that pot of water set on high.
Except unlike the oblivious frog, the frog Trump supporter now sees the water begin to boil.
But just remains steadfast in support hoping there's going to be a different outcome.
There's not.
There have been 34 recessions in the history of the United States.
If things remain the same, Trump who likes to name things after himself, will be the first president with a recession named after him.

He's 94, still doing business full time, and his diet is pretty much the same as you know who. Which gives me hope for Trump having a fourth term. And the Bloomberg blurb sounded like it was talking about all billionaires and rich people, as if they're the only ones who make money from playing the stock market. Which is kinda goofy to me considering the founder of Bloomberg has a net worth of $105 billion. How does he compare to Buffett?

It didn't make any distinction. It just carped about billionaires making money playing the stock market. There's a huge difference between playing the stock market and having a 401k. And there's plenty of plain ol ordinary folks play the stock market. Which is always a gamble.

It's getting difficult to even know what tariffs are in place in Canada at this point. Trump has turned tariffs on and off, what are we on, about 3 or 4 times now?

It seems reasonable to ask this question.

I am NOT asking about what Trump wants. IT's been outlined MANY times...he wants to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US. That is his VISION.

This poll and thread are about whether you believe he actually has a PLAN or if he's making it up as he goes along.

His own people are unaware of what is happenning.
https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/09/business/trump-top-trade-official-testifies-house-tariffs/index.html

If you DO believe he has a plan, I'm curious to hear how you believe the "on again off again tariffs" strategy is meant to further his plan.
When was the times tariffs were turned on and off. I know the latest was a pause not turned off. So what are those 3 or 4 times.

How about a little self awareness. Yes, people with 401ks are taking a beat down right now. I am. Yes people trying to create a nest egg to retire with don't have the time, or in some cases pending how the plans are set up, the ability to stock trade like those with money. So instead of Trump bragging, yet again, how the rich are making out like bandits. How about he take pause and consider what he himself is putting the vast majority of Americans with savings through.

That requires empathy, a quality he seems completely lacking in.

Bloomberg is very much in favor of sensible gun regulation, is a strong supporter of progressive causes, and wrote a book on the climate crisis with the president of the Sierra Club.

All indications of good values, morals, and character.

Both empathy and racism have meaning.
The Catholic Church places racism right next to abortion as an "intrinsic evil."
Empathy is part of "emotional intelligence." One is not fully human without empathy.

Ok. Do you understand what I am saying?
Yes, and I think it's tripe. Do you really think what's going on with the stock market right now is going to have a devastating impact on your 401k 38 years from now?
