Do you believe that Trump has an ACTUAL plan?

Do you believe that Trump has, not a vision, but a plan to make his vision a reality?

It's getting difficult to even know what tariffs are in place in Canada at this point. Trump has turned tariffs on and off, what are we on, about 3 or 4 times now?

It seems reasonable to ask this question.

I am NOT asking about what Trump wants. IT's been outlined MANY times...he wants to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US. That is his VISION.

This poll and thread are about whether you believe he actually has a PLAN or if he's making it up as he goes along.

His own people are unaware of what is happenning.

If you DO believe he has a plan, I'm curious to hear how you believe the "on again off again tariffs" strategy is meant to further his plan.

Other than sitting back and laughing at everyone as they try to take themselves seriously, nope .. no plan at all.

.. Kidding.

The plan seems to be to separate the US from the globalization initiative firstly, and then go from there. Not sure how much someone can accomplish in 4 years anyway.

Politicians don't know what to do with a businessman. Their form of government has been usurped.
And a businessman doesn't know how to be a politician.

And a plumber wouldn't know how to fix a torn serratus anterior.

Why do you think that's a good thing?

He said it him self Tarrifs are a TOOL ro make a good deal... he knows exactly what he's doing.
But I know when I use a tool. I get it from my tool shed...and then I use it.
I don't grab a crescent wrench, and go back to the pergola, walk up to the bolt, put the wrench on, then take it off and put It on the ground.
And then do that 4 times.

He is so far down the road from where the rest of us are.
This one sentence I'm curious about. Would you mind sharing what evidence you have that makes you feel that way?

He may be a jerk and loudmouth but its all int intentional. Thats why over and over again he is found to be correct in his statements...
Again, not to be too difficult but do you have any such examples?

I believe he has a plan the same way the Cylons had a plan. Nuke everything, then make it up as you go along.

I went looking for a genuine opening titles card, but I found this parody sooooo much more appropriate:

Also, he's a business man, that had at least 4 bankruptcies.

Of course he has a plan. It's the plan of a schoolyard bully. He just went around, and collected everyone's lunch, and then gave it back to everyone after taking a bite, with the exception to the one kid that struck at him, which he is currently in the process of trying to beat into submission.

If you DO believe he has a plan, I'm curious to hear how you believe the "on again off again tariffs" strategy is meant to further his plan.
I believe his plan is to push cash into treasuries, which forces the Fed to slash interest rates in May, and those lower rates give the Fed the ability to refinance trillions of debt very inexpensively. It also weakens the dollar and drops mortgage rates. It also forces farmers to sell more of their products here in the U.S., to bring grocery prices way down. We’ve already seen this with eggs. Now, remember, 94 percent of all stocks are owned only by eight percent of Americans. So Trump, he’s taking from the rich short term and handing it to the middle class through lower prices.

The tariffs forces companies to build here to dodge them. It also forces farmers to sell more of their products here in the U.S., to bring grocery prices way down. We’ve already seen this with eggs. Now, remember, 94 percent of all stocks are owned only by eight percent of Americans. So Trump is taking from the rich short term and handing it to the middle class through lower prices.

Now I wait to hear your arguments about why I am wrong and how the plan is stupid.

Gut instinct.

When Mr. Trump came out to explain his decision on Wednesday, however, he undercut both Mr. Bessent and Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, citing the jittery market and saying he was acting “instinctively, more than anything else.”

So he "laughs" at people seeing their retirement savings disappear?
Only a heartless person laughs at others' misfortunes.

Plan? Trump? No. it is all about power. He is like a toddler in a tantrum. and the entire world is hostage.

On April 10, 2025, U.S. consumer confidence had recently tumbled to a 12-year low, driven by rising concerns over tariffs and inflation, with the forward-looking expectations index plummeting to its lowest level in 12 years.
