Perhaps a Bill to establish a set protocol for the spiritual part of the process of inauguration for a new President would be more constructive. Set out who chooses the faith leader, and write down some guidelines or principles about what they should say. At a guess, a bunch of law makers elected in such a large country could perhaps manage to sort that out.

I am curious as to how in a country with the separation of powers, the government can even try to condemn a faith leader. Is she accused of some actual crime?

Her offense was preaching pure gospel about loving your neighbor, which one political party disagrees with in the current climate. The Republican Party today views loving your enemy or helping the poor as liberal ideas that should be quickly abolished.

What would it say about a member of the clergy, if they would allow politicians to provide the guidelines about what they should say? I wouldn't care who those politicians were or whether I voted for them, in my eyes that clergy member would need to do a lot of work to regain my trust.

To be honest, I find it curious that we have a sectarian national cathedral in a country with separation of church and state.

So do I.

As for the rest of your question, I did not suggest that the individual new President tells the Pastor what to say, my post says "Set out who chooses the faith leader, and write down some guidelines or principles about what they should say. At a guess, a bunch of law makers elected in such a large country could perhaps manage to sort that out.", I did mean a multi-party group. Something like a "Constitution of the Multi-Faith Prayer Service". When I included "set out who chooses", it could be written such that it is not the President (I mean any President) who selects the Pastor. Choose by picking faith leaders names out of a lottery machine, make it random? I am also only saying for this particular event, I was picturing you the people make the event for the people, about accepting a new Presidency, not that (eek shudder) a politician, even a President, should use the clergy as a partisan mouthpiece.

I hope that clarified my thoughts, I was just wishing that Service could have a more peaceful and unifying affect in future years.

If it is a useless idea, do please ignore it, especially if it seems to mess with the separation of church and state.

I don’t care about liberal or conservative mindsets, President Trump's agenda, or the Republican agenda. I don't care about an American's status, whether they are undocumented, documented, or a US citizen.

What I value is the teachings of Jesus: provide food for the hungry, water for the thirsty, shelter for the stranger, clothing for the naked, care for the sick, visit those in prison, support widows, and ensure justice for the weak and fatherless. This is what Bishop Budda was preaching.
Do you believe in protecting your family and providing for your family?

No such thing as a female Bishop in the Holy Bible, the woman (Budde) is nothing more than a liberal activist dressed up in a religious costume
Is it really possible to get back to what the New Testament difference between episkopos and diakonos was - without actually just overwriting the texts with our own modern traditions? So while there might not be a lady episkopos - there's Phoebe the diakonos in Romans 16:1.

16 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae. 2 I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of his people and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been the benefactor of many people, including me.

Well Jesus had a radical idea about giving and helping.

The Widow’s Offering

41
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”
Absolutely! Then there was the Good Samaritan! I mean - imagine one of them Mexican's actually bending over and tending to the wounds of some injured soul on the side of the road. I thought Trump said they were all.... (actually I decline to repeat the foul insults that man hurled around about not just Mexicans - but who ethnic groups outside the USA.) Talk about dog-whistling to certain factions!

Former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson called the Episcopal Church...

Tucker Carlson said so? Oh my. Well if Tucker Carlson said so, I must leave the Episcopal Church immediately. Such a fine, upstanding credible source and all.

Do you believe in protecting your family and providing for your family?

My personal beliefs are not pertinent; the teachings of the Bible are the only relevant and enduring truths.

The Bible teaches to love and pray for your enemy, feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, shelter strangers, clothe the naked, care for the sick, visit prisoners, support widows, and ensure justice for the weak and fatherless.

If prioritizing my family over following Jesus becomes more important, I am no different from those unbelievers who do not know Jesus.

"Carlson, who hasn't shied away from criticizing his denomination in the past,"
He's criticizing his own denomination. I think he has the right to do that.

It is part of my responsibility as a Christian to take care of my own family.
If I spent all my time with my youth group while neglecting my own son that wouldn't have been something that God wanted me to do.
God wants us to run our own families well as a sign that we are fit for ministry. If a man neglects his own family he is not fit for ministry

Tools
1Ti 3:4 - One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
Tools
1Ti 3:5 - (For if a man know-not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

I do not concern myself with the statements, actions, or policies of President Trump, nor those of any Democratic president or politician.

What concerns and saddens me is that many Americans have diluted the Word of God to align with political narratives.

On the left, there are progressive Christians who believe that abortion, homosexuality, and same-sex marriage are acceptable in the Bible as long as the principles of social justice in the Bible are preached and practiced. These principles include feeding the hungry, caring for widows, giving to the poor, and helping immigrants.

They see unbelievers not as lost sheep needing salvation, but as enemies to be destroyed.

In the past 48 hours, I engaged in a discussion on a Christian forum with individuals who hold the belief that salvation is reserved only for those deemed worthy and that the gospel should not be preached to everyone. They cite Romans Chapter One to support this unbiblical doctrine. Another Christian inquired whether it is more important to follow Jesus or to take care of one's family.

Deacons are to be married "Men"

1 Timothy 3:12KJV
12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

Women are to keep silent in the church, and commanded to be obedient

1 Corinthians 14:33-34KJV
33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
