FYI, consider the source of the OP article, "LifeSiteNews," which is anti-Pope Francis and
does not speak for the Catholic Church,

I found nothing about Father Roberto Pasolini, being homosexual, how could they, he's celibate.

Nobody said Father Roberto Pasolini was gay but that he promotes homosexuality.

Here is his background which seems fine to me.

Vatican City, November 10, 2024: Pope Francis has appointed Fr. Roberto Pasolini, a Capuchin friar and biblical scholar with a strong commitment to marginalized communities, as the new Preacher of the Papal Household. The Holy See Press Office announced the appointment on November 9, stating that Fr. Pasolini will now be responsible for delivering Advent and Lenten sermons to the Pope and the Roman Curia. This significant role has been passed on from Cardinal Raniero Cantalamessa, who held the position since 1980, serving under three Popes.

Fr. Pasolini, OFMCap, is a professor of Biblical Exegesis at the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy in Milan. Known for his compassionate and engaging approach, he blends his theological expertise with pastoral care, especially for those on society's margins, including the homeless, the incarcerated, and people with disabilities. His preaching style seeks to connect faith with real-world challenges, making spirituality accessible and relevant.

Cardinal Cantalamessa, who retires at age 90, has been a prominent figure in Catholic spirituality, reaching millions through his writings, lectures, and TV appearances. He will spend his retirement at the Hermitage of Merciful Love in Cittaducale, Italy, where he will focus on prayer and study, occasionally serving as chaplain to a community of Poor Clare nuns.

Fr. Pasolini brings a unique background to his new role. Before joining the Capuchins, he was a computer programmer and politically active. Today, he uses his tech skills to further his ministry, producing podcasts and exploring ways to leverage artificial intelligence for evangelization.

After reading this article, If true, he should not be teaching ANYTHING about Scripture. Teaching Scripture as this article suggests is akin to interpreting cloud formations to arrive at theological truth. "Imagine" this, "think" that - descend into your own personal confusion and call that listening to the Word of God? I don't think so.

I’m just wondering if there are any quotes or works we can refer to for any evidence.

From Daily Compass:

Jonathan and David, the Centurion and the Servant: the Pope's neo-preacher promotes an imaginative biblical exegesis to normalise homosexuality. The significant proximity to Father Rupnik and the Aletti Centre. Two more points for the ‘Fiducia supplicans team’.

None of them were in homosexual relationships. Period.

Jonathan and David were like brothers. There is no indication there is relationship was sexual, and no Jewish person has ever taught that.

Teilhard De Chaden should've been made a Doctor of the Church long ago.

In WWI, being a priest, he did not carry a gun and served as a stretcher bearer where he saw the worst of war,
as if there was any good in that war.

His life was that of a saint and scientist which he linked together. He was also part of the team that
discovered "Peking Man." in China.

His theory on evolution is one I agree with. He said that humans evolved biologically quickly until about 10,000
years ago. Then, biological evolution slowed way down. However, intellect and spirituality evolved quickly
and continues even today.
Sorry. He was a pseudo-scientist, eugenicist, and a racist. His theology was as pseudo as his science. His involvement in the discovery of Peking Man was minor. His discovery of Piltdown Man was more significant. I don't agree with Richard Dawkins on much of anything but I agree when he called The Phenomenon of Man "the quintessence of bad poetic science". Whatever 'poetic science' is.

Yes, he saw the worst of war, but hundreds of thousands of others saw the same thing. My heart goes out to all of them. And maybe he acted like a saint. I don't know. But his theory of evolution doesn't have traction in biological circles. Steven Jay Gould claims that Steven Rose wrote that "Teilhard is revered as a mystic of genius by some, but among most biologists is seen as little more than a charlatan."

I sincerely hope Richard Dawkins come to repentance. He seems friendly to Christianity, if anything.

To be celibate is to be unmarried. To be chaste is another matter. One can be celibate and unchaste. I have zero evidence on the chastity or unchastity of Fr. Pasolini.

I thought celibate meant no sexual activity? Maybe I'm confused?

Chaste meant they followed their state of life.

Single --> not sexually active
married --> sexually active within marriage

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Dawkins is an interesting bird. I first read his 'Selfish Gene' in 1980. And yes, we should be praying for him.

If you ever want to watch an interesting skit about Dawkins, search foe 'dawkins delusion'. It's a stitch.

The American Heritage dictionary has it both ways. But there are people who claim celibacy who are nonetheless very sexually active. They make the distinction that to be celibate is only to be unmarried by choice. They have vowed celibacy (remaining unmarried) but they have their friends with benefits.

You have no evidence of this, just opinion based on prejudicial information. FYI, I've seen the arguments against him
before.
