In this environment where racists are being created you knew they'd start coming out of the woodwork eventually. It was a given this was going to start happening at some point.

I admit it does worry me. I was really hoping we could resolve some of these issues before it happened though.

It's not a matter of first. Authorities arrest people regularly for material support for foreign terror organizations like Hamas.

I'm assuming for the same reason all instigators like to hide behind masks these days, they know the thing they're doing is more likely to lead to physical confrontations, and are trying to avoid facing any legal consequences if/when the aforementioned confrontations arise.

They should be denounced and then laughed to scorn. People should make fun of them at every turn. Ridicule might help them feel shame for their hatred.

Experience has taught me that ridicule only makes them dig in more. It’s the whole “bad attention is better than no attention” scenario. They think people ridicule them out of fear and that justifies the prejudice. It never dawns on them they’re being ridiculed because they are, in fact, ridiculous. The self-awareness required for such a realization is just not there.
