My mother, aunt and sister are witches. They sometimes use spells to punish and hurt, and they certainly believe that psychic attack is a task thing.

Have any of you felt you might have been under psychic attack from a demon, or a person, even a witch!?

I would say that witchcraft and paganism are making a massive revival, and in a very open way.

Would you agree? Why do you think this is happening?

Even though the Bible says to kill witches, that seems a bit extreme to me..
But why kill? Why not just pray? Jesus cast out demons etc., but didn't kill them.

Are witches more dangerous and warrant killing?

How should modern Christians relate to Pitches and Pagans?

What about interfaith gatherings? Would you let witches into your church and pray and chant together?

Nope. I don't feel that I'm under psychic attack from .... any source really.

Yes, it is making a gradual comeback because many people still want to be "spiritual" even if not religious.

Killing witches isn't really a Christian thing, and by that I mean Christians aren't supposed to be killing anyone, despite the history of the Salem Witch trials and all that jazz which we all already know about; however, it WAS obviously an Israelite thing among Israelites way back in the 1st century B.C., mainly because God equated any dabbling in sorcery among His own people as a form of rebellion.
Are witches more dangerous and warrant killing?
Nah. Everyone's going to have a hobby ... and I mean no disrespect, but that's all I think Wicca and Paganism are: misdirected hobbies.
How should modern Christians relate to Pitches and Pagans?
I just talk to them like I'd talk to anyone else. And you can let your mother and sister know that I'm always available if they want to chat. ;)

Sure, I'd think witches and pagans can come to church just like anyone else, but they'll have to pray and chant Christian prayers and chants while they're there and expose their ears to sermons about the historical truth of Jesus of Nazareth.

Witches and Pagans are the harvest for the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ of Nazareth said:
" The Harvest Is Plentiful, the Laborers Few."

In the OT -- Israel was a Theocracy - God as King, God as Law maker. So then they had a number of death-penalty capital-punishment scenarios that would not at all be justified outside of having God Himself as King, Judge and law-giver.

I agree that witches , wickedness , bad-laws etc are all on the rise.

But with the fall of Israel we switched from the "nation-church" model to the "persecuted church" model.

In the persecuted church model we have religious liberty, checks and balances, and we still evangelize but we don't make religious laws. No penalty for Sabbath-breaking for example.

Witchcraft is real, you get into that though and you lose your soul.
It could be the worst position to be, being a 'student' of demons,
even when they deal with things in the spiritual world, they don't seek God, talk about being blinded.

We have cults here. I have felt that I was attacked by them.. IWhiches do evil as you stated. If they come to church the have to play by our rules for what part has light with darkness. Wicca says they do good sometimes. But God is not enough to them. They want power of their own. They want to do what God does on their own. I did it my way. Go Sammy.

what about the legion of demons he cast out 2000 into the swine and they all drowned. The demons did not want to be cast into the abyss but where did the go. Did they drown too? Much too dangerous to let go into dry places

Which craft is sorcery.... In 1 Samuel 28, Saul enlists the Witch of Endor to summon the spirit of the deceased prophet Samuel.

In the New Testament, “sorcery” is translated from the Greek word pharmakeia, this is where we get our word pharmacy (Galatians 5:20; Revelation 18:23)? Yes. The word φαρμακεία (pharmakeia) translated as “sorcery” or “witchcraft” in most English versions, literally means “the use of medicine, drugs or spells.”

So be careful of all those pills you take or of any vaccines.

Witchcraft and sorcery is when they do rituals, and 'works of witchcraft' invoking satanic forces to do something etc even if they don't believe they are satanic, is what it is. They could potentially put a spell on some object or food, but today medicine has nothing to do with that.

Have you taken any medicine? And I mean ANY medicine? If you have, then, according to your definition, you have engaged in witchcraft.

If you want to keep yourself pure in the faith, stay away from witchcraft and such. If you are of Christ, you're separate of all that. Which it's safe to say, they are not. Witchcraft etc, is not of the God of the bible and they call on powers, not of the God of the bible. Most witches are deceived. But the true practitioners are able to tap into the powers of the dark side, and there is power there. Ultimately, in time, demons show up. But in this liberal world of Christianity we often see in our world today, many so called Christians don't believe that or in some cases even accept it. Keep yourself in the light. Truly born again believers would have received discernment to judge for themselves how off base it all is. They/we also have the authority in Jesus name, to direct that source of darkness out of our lives.

It's not safe to dabble in or around witchcraft. There are demons involved. Some folks play around with it and don't even know their lives are never that same again. Until the darkness they didn't know they had, is broken. Suddenly life is quiet, there is peace. And you must fill the loss of darkness with more Christ, more of His word.. It's very real folks, don't be fooled.

That refers to shamanism that uses drugs and other similar substances to connect to the spiritual world.

I have & still do but I'm wondering if I should carry on, shouldn't we be putting our faith in God to heal us ?

That’s faulty thinking. I notice you posted about your having an emergency triple bypass operation on another thread and you rightly called it a miracle. That miracle would have included drugs to help you. It is God’s gift to you that these drugs kept you alive & probably still do.

Denying God’s gift of medicine would be to test God. You are misinterpreting the Scripture if you think God views all medicine as witchcraft.

My mother and aunt both use various deities to help them. They do use this to hurt people sometimes, people that they feel deserve it... and it does seem to work.
My sister works mainly with the angel Lucifer.. he can get things done, but you have to keep your word and your promises.. he doesn't react well to betrayal... so I'm told.

Don't mix things up! Big man!
That is no witchcraft!
Witchcraft is more than what you thought of. Don't forget that God gives… too. It's this wisdom, knowledge and understanding what makes a pharmacist. And it's a pharmacist that makes our medicine. Witchcraft on the other hand is more spiritual than physical. Let me stop here. I know you will figure the rest yourself.
Have you taken any medicine? And I mean ANY medicine? If you have, then, according to your definition, you have engaged in witchcraft.

Reminds me of the Lorica of St Patrick

God’s host to secure me

Against every cruel and merciless power that may oppose my body and my soul,
Against incantations of false prophets,
Against black laws of heathenry,
Against false laws of heretics,
Against craft of idolatry,
Against spells of women and smiths and wizards,
Against every knowledge that endangers man’s body and soul.

Christ to protect me today

Not to worry, we're on the same page. Although not experiencing witchcraft personally, I'm aware of the spiritual forces behind it. Medicine as you say comes from a completely different source i.e. God's gifts of wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
