CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why would Democrats who focus on U.S. policy related to Israel, abortion access, poverty, lack of housing, racism, climate change and LGBTQ rights, raise fear concerns?

A small number of bad actors can shift the focus of a peaceful protest fast. In the case of BLM, Charlottesville, and every riot, a few violent people turned the tables.
Extra security insures that those people will not have the opportunity to do so.

So if just a small portion of rioters are burning and looting and vandalizing, and engaged in general violence; it's a peaceful protest?
Is there a threshold ratio that draws the distinction between a peaceful protest and a riot; or is that determination subject to the whims of Left Wing propagandists?

A peaceful protest that turns violent is exactly that. A negative catalyst enters a peaceful situation. Sometimes it is adversarial--a counter demonstration conflict.
A concern for all Americans about next week should be this: Iran may strike Israel--which assassinated Hezbollah leaders in their country. The U.S. indirectly financed the incursion into Iran.
Will our support of Netanyahu's undisciplined overreaches bring even more bloodbaths and deaths, to both Israel, Lebanon and Gaza.
Instead of worrying about anti-Semitism, our Jewish brothers and sisters should remove the reason for Muslim anger--Netanyahu. An Iranian strike, escalating the violence, can be the catalyst turning a protest in Chicago. Is Netanyahu leading us into a war none of us want?

If Biden wasn't encouraging Netanyahu's war crimes; he would cut off the free money, cut off the free weapons, and tell Netanyahu that he is on his own if he continues in his aggression. Biden is poking the Bear. He's poking the Dragon; and he's stirring the pot in the Middle East. It seems like he's intentionally trying to start WWIII.
However let's not derail the thread before the first question that I asked in the OP has a clear answer.

Im using this expected huge protest to push back on the idea that the DNC center of gravity is "radical left."

If she could pull off such a miracle, DJT won't stand a chance.
