Joe Biden and Donald Trump have agreed to hold two presidential TV debates in June and September, setting the stage for primetime political duels that could shake up the White House race.

CNN will host the first forum on 27 June in the key swing state of Georgia.

ABC will host the second one on 10 September.

The announcement came after President Biden, a Democrat, laid out his terms for debating his Republican predecessor ahead of November's election.

There will be no live audience at June's Atlanta event, which will mark the pair's first on-stage clash in four years.

Will Harris have the same strength to debate Trump on FOX?

She can do whatever she wants ... however .... needs to state the reason(s) for not accepting a debate if that's what she does. Is there really a good reason(s) for not debating? Why does it matter who hosts a debate? I will say ... I liked the format of the CNN debate ... it was nice to not have interruptions ... it would be nice if Fox would do the same format.

I don't think this is the case ... I think Trump wants her to commit to a debate on Fox as well as on ABC ... and if not ... then he won't commit to the ABC debate. We all know ABC leans left and Fox leans right ... both should commit to both.

The problem with this talking point is he already committed to the ABC debate.

Originally when Trump agreed to the ABC debate it was to be with Biden as the nominee (that changed). Biden had said openly he would debate "anywhere" "anytime" (the agreement to debate on ABC was with Biden not Harris) .... Harris has not made this kind of a statement. There wasn't and isn't any agreements made between Harris/Trump and that is why Trump is seeking to get an agreement from her to debate on Fox as well.

Honestly it’s reflective of how serious I take the points being raised. If it wasn’t for the notifications, I wouldn’t even remember I’m having this discussion, that’s how little it impacts me.

Well I answered that already, but for those just tuning in, I don’t know if she will take him up on his sideshow debate and I fluctuate back and forth between hoping she will and trounce him, and hoping she doesn’t because so few people have confronted him over his behavior that he needs to learn that the world isn’t going to jump and appease him every time he has a tantrum.

Either way, I’m excited for her to show up for the event at ABC, if he shows up or not (and it’s looking like not). If he doesn’t, that’s a free 90 minute prime time show for her. Either way, she’s in a win/win.

Trump already agreed to a debate with CNN that leans left. He attended the debate even though many on the Left claimed he would "chicken out".

How many debates has Kamala participated in? Zero.

If she "chickens out" of the September 3 debate on Fox, she will be the only candidate to go through this election cycle without even debating to prove herself against her rival. That won't be a good look for her.

Trump has shown he can debate his rival on a network that is hostile to him, and won it handily. Now it's Kamala's turn to try matching that.

So then why is she even campaigning? Why not just hide in her basement? It worked for her boss.
She's not even willing to debate Trump on Sept. 3rd. Won't be interviewed by a friendly Press.
Doesn't she owe it to the public to show what she's made of?
