In Leviticus 7:22-26, it states that you should not eat the fat of cattle, sheep, or goats. That is why they were to cook the fat out of the animal. Eli's sons did not cook the meat long enough and they were considered evil and wicked.
The point is doctors tell us the same today. It is NOT healthy to eat the fat of animals. You should eat as lean as possible although I try to avoid meat. When you boil the meat the fat floats to the surface and you skim it off. My mom use to do that with what was left of the thanksgiving turkey. Her soup was really good. She was a really good cook. All the gunk would float to the surface and she would skim it off.
Wrong.
Leviticus 7:22-24 says: And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: u‘You shall not eat any fat, of ox or sheep or goat. 24 And the fat of an animal that dies naturally, and the fat of what is torn by wild beasts, may be used in any other way; but you shall by no means eat it.
It's not saying that the Israelites couldn't eat fat. It was essentially saying do not eat carrion.
Fat IS fine to eat. In moderation. Anything is fine in moderation.
