  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It seems people forget those other Turley comments of the past couple weeks were quite inaccurate. He gets paid to mislead folks who cannot accept reality. Remember when Jonathan recently said "I think this case is gone."? Or when he called Cohen "the most compromised, unbelievable witness in the history of the federal legal system."? These people profit from our gullibility. The simple fact that Dershowitz, Mccarthy or Turley claims something on foxnews broadcasts does not mean it is accurate. Lol. Their predictions were for the benefit of the gullible viewers. And none came to fruition.

If you could revisit the past two or three weeks in your own mind, you would see these biased "legal experts" continue to get it wrong. While simultaneously spewing more of the same nonsense our delicate neighbors can handle and want to hear. Despite the fact that their comments are disingenuous. They are trading any of their ethical principles for money. Likewise, believing liars because one wants to is trading ethical principles for peace of mind.

People are stressing themselves out of denial. I remember those last uncomfortable days of my drinking career. My denial was keeping me from getting back to reality and getting sober. Once I faced the truth I was quickly on my road to recovery. Everyone is different I reckon.
We will see in the appeals process.

You asked, I answered to the best of my knowledge. I will go by what I have heard from several legal scholars, as well as other legal people I have heard discussing the issues as they occurred. Several of these people even attended the trial themselves to see what was going on in that court room. I will let them decide what they thought and what should happen now. Some of them, were not Trump fans. But were disturbed by what they heard and seen in that courtroom.
You’re a Fox News viewer, aren’t you?

We will see in the appeals process.

No, the appeals process will likely not mention how those foxnews pundits have been giving viewers the wrong conclusions. But the process will almost certainly reaffirm how those Trump favorites are still wrong. They get paid while disappointed Trump fans get more bitterness in their lives. That's a shame. Truly.

How did that work for Trump's appeals of his fraud cases or his sexual assault case?

Yep. What makes you think he'll do better this time?

Has nothing in common with this. Everything is on record with tons of witnesses. It is an appeal

Has nothing in common with this.
It has everything in common with this. Every time he's a loser, he throws a tantrum "NO FAIR!!" "RIGGED!" The same as when he lost the election. He's not just a frequent loser; he's a very poor loser.

What makes you think it's going to work for him this time?

Everything is on record with tons of witnesses.
That's why he's a convicted criminal. It's all on record, and there were witnesses. It would be pretty dumb to base an appeal on the facts, which is why the jury convicted him.

I think there are tantrums in other places too.
What makes you think it's going to work for him this time?
Because of the Scholars opinions on the matter. How else would a non lawyer /common person not familiar or trained in law think on these things?

Again I will bet on the legal scholars for now and let the process work itself to conclusion. Patience...

I will wait for the appeals process.

Then why do I have to scroll thru three pages of your waiting for the appeals process... to reach the reasonable discourse on several threads lol?

Will you accept it? Provide an answer. Either way we all have to accept what comes in the end. Yes?
As for me, I can’t even honestly entertain the possibility of accepting a reversal. I seriously doubt anything will come from the appeals process. Every time Trump loses he becomes more outrageous and unhinged. There’s too much evidence against him and he has a record of losing appeals.

Yeah and things can be in error. That is what appeals are for.

The issue is, Trump and his people seem to think that Biden was able to do what Trump tried to do and failed:

WASHINGTON — President Trump told the White House counsel in the spring that he wanted to order the Justice Department to prosecute two of his political adversaries: his 2016 challenger, Hillary Clinton, and the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey, according to two people familiar with the conversation.

The lawyer, Donald F. McGahn II, rebuffed the president, saying that he had no authority to order a prosecution. Mr. McGahn said that while he could request an investigation, that too could prompt accusations of abuse of power. To underscore his point, Mr. McGahn had White House lawyers write a memo for Mr. Trump warning that if he asked law enforcement to investigate his rivals, he could face a range of consequences, including possible impeachment.

The encounter was one of the most blatant examples yet of how Mr. Trump views the typically independent Justice Department as a tool to be wielded against his political enemies. It took on additional significance in recent weeks when Mr. McGahn left the White House and Mr. Trump appointed a relatively inexperienced political loyalist, Matthew G. Whitaker, as the acting attorney general.

Trump Wanted to Order Justice Dept. to Prosecute Comey and Clinton (Published 2018)
