See? You do know some of the things Cohen has gone to jail for.

Whom was he lying to protect?
Himself......
Here is what Democrat's do. They get biased judges, and juries, to convict. Even violating rights. Knowing it takes time to go through the appeals process. They drop cases before it gets overturned at the Supreme court. By the time the appeals process makes it to the supreme court, this election will be over. But in the mean time Donald Trump, has to campaign as a fellon......
This kind of behavior is ruining this country.

It's not illegal to pursue a deal to create a Trump hotel in Russia in 2016.

But Individual One thought it might look bad for Individual One's election chances.

Democrats didn't do this.

Cohen pleaded guilty to all of his crimes.
And he is sure making money from it isn't he........

They are not.

The simple trespass cases have after conviction gotten at most a few months, (the limit is literally 6 months) and most just probation or a few weeks of home confinement. Any trespasser in jail right now is one who was sentenced recently and charged not long ago.
Jan 6th again?

Jan 6th? LOL
Almost a thousand guilty pleas for the Jan 6th insurrection so far.

Tuberville Says He Spoke At Trump’s Trial to ‘Overcome This Gag Order’

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), the day after he attended part of Donald Trump’s criminal hush-money trial in New York—later doubting jurors’ citizenship and complaining about how the indicted former president is enduring “mental anguish” in the “depressing” courtroom—admitted Tuesday that “one of the reasons” for his appearance and comments was “to overcome this gag order” imposed on Trump.

Bet the judge will love that.

They don't think the facts of the case will save Trump so they have to jump in to tip the scales in his favor.

I would want the jury to hear this.
Emails shown to the jury depicted Costello as a "back channel of communications" for Cohen while he was under investigation, someone who could relay messages to then-President Trump via his attorney Rudy Giuliani.

"The back channel was Bob Costello to Rudy to Rudy to President Trump," Cohen said on the stand Tuesday.

"Sleep well tonight. You have friends in high places," Costello wrote in one email to Cohen

Would he be called as a witness? Costello said maybe.

"I had a brief conversation with Todd Blanche, but there was no commitment," Costello said, adding the discussion "was not witness prep."

Still, Costello said he thinks he might end up being called by the defense.

--

Costello apparently testified to the 'Weaponization' subcommittee:

Goldman had attacked Costello, a New York–based litigator, earlier in the hearing for trying to discredit Cohen in a public and political forum, telling the lawyer that if he did have pertinent information he should be using it in a legal setting.

"Let's talk about this two-tiered system of justice. Let's talk about lawfare," Goldman said on Wednesday. "Mr. Costello, your entire opening statement, as I heard it, was simply to discredit Michael Cohen."

He went on: "Sir, I think you're in the wrong place. Michael Cohen is currently on the witness stand at a trial in Manhattan, and if you have information about Michael Cohen's testimony, you should talk to Donald Trump and his lawyers and see if they want to call you as a witness to impeach Michael Cohen."

They may think things are going well enough they don’t need him.
