The line of sight is about 3 miles, we can see farther if the horizon is not in the way.

But the horizon is always eye level, limiting our sight, because we are not on a ball.
On a ball it should go below eye level as we increase altitude.

Several people have presented what are, to most of us, clear, well validated observations that when critically and logically examined demonstrate that the Earth is not flat, but is a sphere. To sincerely deny this can only, to my mind, be accounted for if they have not understood those arguments, observations and demonstrations.

Mate, in post #703, you clearly says "Human line of sight is 3 miles". Line of sight refers to the distance between object A, the observer, and object B, whatever they're looking at. The horizon exists because we are on a ball. If we weren't, there wouldn't be a horizon because there would be no curve because it'd be flat!

And I've shown, in post 1006, directing to another post that shows that as an observer gets higher, they can see more of a distant object. Which directly contradicts what you claim.

Exactly. Logical dissonance is a thing. People are not simple machines operating in binary logics of 1s and 0s, true and false.

This is rubbish. The Flat Earth Society claims the sun is about 3500 miles away. Planes do not fly anywhere near that altitude.
