Evolution went to court in 1925 and lost.
False. The trial was about whether John Scopes broke the law of Tennessee. Not about whether the ToE was correct or not.
We will count that as one more creationist counterfactual statement.

And the purpose of the trial (which is quite modern in its legal motivations) was to serve a test case to get the Tennessee anti-evolution law declared unconstitutional (teaching of religion in public schools). It didn't work.

Is there one that isnt baloney?
I'd be ever so interested in even one
meaningful fact .
If the yec sorts had even one they'd
have mentioned it by now.

Of course it would be world news long
before they had the chance.

It's kind of pitiful, as if they were old confederates
still trying to fight for the stars and bars.

Not surprised since it does not at all say what you think it says. The article is literally the most barebones description of the Scopes Trial.

Evolution went on trial in 1925 and lost.

I mean, I guess....but a lot of things happened almost 100 years ago that were not correct or were incorrectly adjudicated. It really does not mean a whole l today other than as a important event to note.

Only in Tennesse and not even in any scientific or valid sense.
Christianity went on trial in the USA after
being forced on everyone- with tax money-
in schools and every other public situation possible.

Christianity lost.

Actually, it didnt. The teaching / imposing of
Religion with tax dollars lost.

Evolution didnt lose. One man lost his case
when he was cited for introducing it in school.

Teaching TOE is solidly established. Church is out for good.
Who would even bring up." Evolution lost in court"
if they gave it ten seconds' thought?

Of course those with little or nothing to offer
may try to make the most of what they think
they have.

Scopes as a counter against evolution is vaguely
amusing. In a pathetic sort of way.

The point I wish to make is how sentiments have change since then.
