The account is not administered by Iran.
They were Iran's funds unfrozen. This gives them the ability to allocate other funds within Iran's control to their terrorist orgs like Hamas

"There is a lot of false information out there. These are funds that South Korea deposited into Iranian accounts during past administrations for the purchase of Iranian oil. Under U.S. sanctions regulations, these funds have been legally available for certain forms of bilateral and humanitarian trade.

These are not frozen funds. Iran spent heavily from similar accounts — in China, Turkey, India — under the last administration. The funds in South Korea were not spent for reasons specific to South Korea. What we have agreed to do as part of this deal is to transfer the funds from South Korea to a bank in Qatar. And under terms that provide confidence, the funds will be spent only on a limited category of humanitarian trade: food, medicine and agricultural products. That’s it.
The funds are subject to more legal restrictions now than when they were in South Korea. And for any transactions, funds are used to pay vendors for the humanitarian goods. No funds whatsoever are going into Iran."

-Brett McGurk, the National Security Council’s coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa

I would think the unfrozen Iranian assets will make it easier for Iran to spend what they do have otherwise on what they consider to be noble causes in their eyes like hating Israel.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said the $6 billion in funds the U.S. agreed to unfreeze in exchange for five U.S. prisoners will be spent “wherever we need it,” despite the Biden administration saying the funds are restricted to humanitarian use.
This money belongs to the Iranian people, the Iranian government, so the Islamic Republic of Iran will decide what to do with this money,” he said, according to an Iranian government translator.

Yes. However, none of those funds have been released.

“Not a single cent from these funds has been spent, and when it is spent, it can only be spent on things like food and medicine for the Iranian people,” Adrienne Watson, a spokesperson for the National Security Council, said in a statement. “These funds have absolutely nothing to do with the horrific attacks today, and this is not the time to spread disinformation.”

Iran is, of course, the major sponsor of Hamas armaments for the past couple of decades.

...article from May 2021:
"The State Department reports that Iran provides $100 million a year to Palestinian armed groups."

It's noted most of the rockets are produced within Gaza, with Iranian guidance.

So you believe the Iranian President over your own government. Got it.

Just curious what fighting for independence would look like ?

I'll tell you what it doesn't look like:

It doesn't look like the indiscriminate murder and violence that was committed
It doesn't look like driving around through residential areas shooting everyone in sight
It doesn't look like mass bombardment with unguided rockets
It doesn't look like taking civilians, including children, hostage
It doesn't look like using religious sites as targets for attacks

If peaceful revolution is made impossible, then violent revolution is inevitable. I get that. But, there's a YAWNING chasm between attacking what might be considered legitimate targets - defence forces/civil police and the infrastructure of state-based repression - and what has gone on in Israel over the last 24 hours.

At the same time, collective punishment for these actions on the populations of Gaza/West Bank shouldn't be on the cards. Apartment buildings should not be targets for airstrikes.

Ok, you said what it does not look like , now say what it does look like.
Thanks for sharing.

What choice do they have, if they don’t fight, nothing changes for them and the oppression continues.
Israeli settlers are invading their territory and they’re just supposed to take that provocation over and over agin with having no say in their own land!?
It's not their territory. There is no such thing as Palestinian land. They have turned down every offer.

I support a free and independent Palestine, but this needs to be condemned in the strongest terms.
But, America did the same thing; they overthrew an oppressive regime and made a new government for themselves in a very bloody war which is still celebrated yearly as a glorious thing. Why is it okay for America to do it, and for Israel to do it, but not for Palestine to do it?

Is that that justification for self entitlement forcefully expanding settlements into Palestinian territory , or using Palestinians as labour as the Romans once did the Jews, or isolating and restricting a people? BOTH sides are at fault for failing to follow the God of Abraham's will. Nothing but sibling rivalry. Dad liked me best nonsense.
Are you now equating Israel with Rome? There is no such thing as Palestinian territory. The Palestinians have turned down every offer of territory. They just constantly want war on Israel. They want Israel wiped out.

No confusion. Anyone who trusts any government or the media obviously failed history class.Thepeole on both sides have probbly forgotten why they started fighting, and as another journalist Gideon Levy just said, Jews and Arabs lived peacably in Palestine before a colonial country turned the land over to foreigners.
Foreigners? Israel had that land long before it was taken from them. They are back because God willed it. You really want to say that we need to follow God and his plan and then turn around and dismiss his plan.
