  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So? What is your point? He was making a vow. What do you think the Last Supper was?
The last supper, the Lord's supper is our passover. And it is counted the way Jew's counted it. And that the one sacrifice was better than all those which foreshadowed it.
I do not know what you mean by he was making a vow, nor what importance you associate with it.

I believe they did as scripture says they did. They killed the passover between the evenings on the 14th day of the month. Ate it that night.
So Jesus ate the Paschal lamb before he was crucified.

I believe he did. Why wouldn't he?
How could He? The lambs were slaughtered in the Temple on the 14th between the evenings...He was dying at the time the lambs were being killed! Again, what do you think the Last Supper was?

It was the new covenant...He said He would not drink wine until He drank it new with us in the kingdom. What do you think that means?? (hint...marriage SUPPER of the Lamb)

No, according to scripture he died on the first day of unleavened bread. Which as I already copied and pasted to you concerning the 14th day was extended. The last supper was the Instution of the Lord's supper (a Christian seder if you will). Put it like this.....It is obvious that The book of Hebrews places his sacrifice like to the day of Atonement. And in fact he has made Atonement. But you seem to be hung up on the need to to have it be done on a literal day. All the sacrifices were mere teaching shadows of his one time sacrifice. Read Hebrews.

It is the Lord's supper.
1 Cor 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

As I already stated in many previous posts, yes, that had to fulfill prophecy. The 14th was when the lambs were killed and that was when Yeshua died. It is very simple...

Bread and wine are blessed every Shabbat too...what is your point? I see you still do not understand...

Right.

So Jesus and the disciples sacrificed the lamb but they did not eat it?
There is nowhere that says they bought, kept, sacrificed or ate a lamb...the ONLY mention of a lamb was Yeshua Himself! Lambs at that time were bought on the 10th and sacrificed on the 14th. They were sacrificed at the Temple.

Matt 26:18 He said, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is near. I will observe the Passover with my disciples at your house.”’” 19 So the disciples did as Jesus had instructed them, and they prepared the Passover.

What did the disciples do in the above passage?

Jesus said, "I will observe the Passover."

How did Jesus observe the Passover? How did any Jews observe the Passover on Nisan 14 before sunset?
It was not THE Passover meal because He would have been dead when it occurred. The last supper was eaten before He was crucified for a reason. Do you know the reason? It was the final meal before the fast of the firstborn (begins just before sunrise uring the daylight hours on the 14th dand ends at the Passover meal that evening.

Please stay focused:
