• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can people who disagree on abortion stop attacking each other?

Was that a pro-choice study?
Why is abortion better than contraception?

Here are some reasons for abortion in post #24
What would be the outcome of1 million more people a year born to parents who don’t feel capable of caring for them or who outright don’t want them. It is unrealistic to assume most would have been put up for adoption.

So what's wrong with those 1 million women using contraception? In saying this as a woman, I do know it takes 2 to tango, and men are just as much at fault for the carelessness as women are. But women bare the brunt of responsibility of abortion.

Link please.
I'm not in the habit of hanging on to studies from 15 years ago, believe me or don't.
Well if you don't think abortion is better than contraception, why take "no issue" with the statistics that clearly show people's carelessness when it comes to using contraception?
Because thinking contraception and avoiding unwanted pregnancy in the first place is the best option does not preclude me from thinking that women should be free to chose abortion for the reasons listed. I am not sure how you think those things conflict.

They conflict because it's utterly selfish and self-absorbed to use abortion as a means for contraception, when the West has better options available.

They conflict because you don't like people getting abortions?

I think it's selfish to make a choice to not use contraception, get pregnant, then decide to kill your baby because you "aren't ready" for the responsibility. It's called having some logical forethought. Don't want a baby? Use contraception or don't have sex. It isn't difficult.

Perhaps they did and it failed. Maybe they’re just outright irresponsible harlots. But the topic is after the fact. What is the outcome of 1 million babies a year born into bad circumstances.

Your distain is duly noted but, again, how does that make the idea that contraception is better than abortion and that women should be able to get abortions for whatever reason conflict with each other?

Look to late 60s Romania for an example.

How so? They're at least trying to save a life rather than destroy one.
Because from what I have seen, most are about saving a life until it is born but have little interest in what happens after.

Well that's a picture perfect non-sequitur.
even an embryo is a living human being?
Abortions Murder,
it's HOW GOD views it and he's the Ultimate Authority.
Regardless as to what you choose to be deceived into believing,
it doesn't change the fact that abortions murder.
toss all the secular lies at me you want, you fool only yourself.
in the end.
If GOD declares it to be so than it is,
Abortion is Murder and Murder is SIN.
