  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Trump hasn't been hit with any "charges". He's never be charged with a crime (certainly not this millenium). Even if he had been charged with a crime by the DOJ (or the NY AG) it has *nothing* to do with his suit against CNN.
I wasn't using charge in a purely legal sense, but I changed it. And, what it has to do with it is maybe it's his way of hitting back.

On CNN? I was watching CNN, and I don't remember any of the CNN crew saying that Trump was guilty of collusion with the Russians. They certainly were investigating the possibility of collusion excessively, so I can imagine how you came to that conclusion. But hey, maybe I missed something, and you can provide a video example, considering you say that it was happening every day.

uh huh, I only say it because it's true. I just you tubed it and got a list to scroll through. I just noticed that the guy posted up there, so yeah, what he or she said.

but i already copied this link:

CNN & MS-NBC have been deceving their viewers for years.

For example, they already knew the Russia collusion report (Dossier) was false as early as 2017.

Even famous Watergate journalist Bob Woodward told CNN it was garbage; and he hates Trump.

MS-NBC's Chris Matthews also reported that Hillary Clinton PAID for the Russia collusion Dossier:

The media knew all this, but kept on defaming Trump as a Russian spy. Biggest hoax in journalism history.

Nah. I've always classified it as a conspiracy theory. Not a hoax. Considering all the conspiracy theories from Trump and his pals, I thought it was only fair. But then again, I don't like conspiracy theories, and I got very tired of CNN pushing it day after day.

This "hitting back" at a completely different target than the one who "harmed you" (CNN instead of the NYAG) is equivalent to getting mad about the guy who took your parking space at the grocery store and then punching the bag boy in retaliation because he used to many plastic bags.

More like, the bag boy who was cheering on the guy who took your parking space.

Do you mean disrespectful like Hillary calling Trump supporters 'deplorables' and Biden calling MAGA republicans a threat to American democracy?

Considering that they tried to overthrow the government and assassinate the Vice President and Speaker of the House, it was accurate.

Never happened.
Biggest hoax in journalism history.

It wasn't a hoax with all those indictments. The only reason Trump wasn't indicted is because the Department of Justice wouldn't indict a sitting President. They confiscated enough ill-gotten assets that the investigation was actually profitable.

And it would still be assault.

The idea that the CNN suit is a reasonable response to the NY civil suit, or the Mar-a-somewhere raid, or any of his other legal troubles is nonsense. It also isn't related at all except in this very small way to the documents case -- trump's lawyers told the judge that the needed a slow briefing schedule because they were too busy and it turns out it was too busy writing the CNN lolsuit.

I think CNN may be getting its own reward anyway.

What does that mean?
I've heard that it's changed hands (or board control anyway), the manager, fired at least one of its spotlight reporters, moved Don out of prime time, and even started to lean toward the right. Other than rumors, I don't know anything about it... never watch it.

...I find it strange that Trump is suing CNN when his base never watches it....

Or is it all part of the victim card that Trump's base seems to lap up? The unfair media, blah, blah.

like him being a Russian asset? How many years and how many millions in tax payer money wasted for the democrats desperate to maintain power? The bidens have more business with China and Russia than the Trumps ever have and the FBI is turning a blind eye to it. The FBI and the democrats are completely compromised.

All those liberal journalist, everyday, said Trump was guilty. They must pay up.

You mean the investigation started by a Republican, conducted by a Republican, and overseen by a Republican? That waste of money by the Democrats?

Those things are already happening and did not prevent the lawsuit. I suspect they'll be "both-sides"ing insurrection and the Big Lie soon. (CNN is notorious for thinking that all sides of an argument are worth of attention.)

FOX is asking that question, too.
And the other part of the question - how does that compare with the amount of business the Trump clan has done and has sought to do with them?
