  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Those who have received the Holy Spirit are without excuse, and yet people WILLFULLY
turn back to their weak and beggarly nature.

2 Peter 2:
20
For if, after they have escaped the pollution of the world through the knowledge
of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome,
the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
21
For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness,
than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: A dog returns to his own
vomit, and, a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.
Hebrews 10:
26
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer
remains a sacrifice for sins,
27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour
the adversaries.

Free Will that turns back to the pollution of the world is a dog's nature, a swine's nature.

“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” 1 John 3:9 (KJV 1900)
1 John 2:24. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning.
If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue
in the Son, and in the Father.

That if word will stick in your craw every time you find it, which is why so many ignore it.

You can ignore the 18 scriptures that all pertain to the one you quoted at your own peril. You are in
no way rightly dividing the word of Truth when you quote 1 John 3:9 without any comprehension.

Learn about eternal life. It has no beginning or end. And the elect have it.
And yet, clearly they can neglect the gift.
Hebrews 2:3. how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard.

1 Timothy 4:14. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.

Eternal life has no beginning or end. Either God saved you eternally in him or he did not.

You are a master of quoting single scriptures out of context without comprehending the full testimony
of the doctrine of Christ. Yes, you have eternal life. What do you do with it, take it to bed with you?
Is it a bedtime story told to children? You need that life to overcome the world. Put your scriptures
together. And then read the 18 verses in 1 John that use the word abide, then try the 12X that Jesus uses the same word in John 14-16. Rightly divide the word of Truth. I have no need for your
"line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little there a little" approach to a topic that embraces so much more than you are letting on.
Isaiah 28:13. But the word of the Lord was to them,
“Precept upon precept, precept upon precept,
Line upon line, line upon line,
Here a little, there a little,”
That they might go and fall backward, and be broken
And snared and caught.

If salvation is of God, you cannot lose it. If it is of you, you can never believe you are saved, but merely on probation. And salvation is by faith that God saved you...Yikes!

You forgot about the two man nature , God didn't change the old man you were prior to being saved just gave you another birth of spirit and that one never sins while the first one always sins and can't please God in any way.

Thats why you're told to walk in Spirit and not in flesh.Your flesh will always sin cuz thats the nature of it , it comes from Adam thats why virgin birth so Jesus can be without it .
